Introduction: Traveling Pet Bucket

It's always nice to bring a furry or not so furry friend! So when it comes to traveling, you need something easy, affordable, and a simple "Grab 'n Go" (even if you don't travel with them a lot). In this Instructable project, we are organizing for a traveling dog bucket. We think that you can still find a bucket useful even if you don't own a dog! We always have a travel bucket ready to go!

Supplies

Please note that this project was made for dogs.

Five gallon bucket with lid (clean)

Food (dry food, canned wet food...)

Water bowl (if you need more than one; have matching or collapsible bowls)

Food bowl (if you need more than one; have matching or collapsible bowls)

Bag of goodies (always have treats!)

K-9 First Aid (if you already have one; this can be separate or together)

Needed or on-hand medicines (such as antibiotics)

Step 1: Grab a Five Gallon Bucket

Grab yourself a five gallon bucket with a lid. Be sure they are clean and not broken!

Step 2: Add the Food

Fill the bucket halfway with dry pebbles or measure out how much food you'll need. If you have more than one pet with different food, place a cardboard between what what will be one pet's food and another pet's food. Or you can put the food into separate containers or bags.

Note: You can add canned food. Just make sure it is still in the can and your pet food does not require refrigeration.

Step 3: Add the Bowls

We have two matching water and food bowls so we can easily stack them in the bucket. It just makes life easier! If you need to, you can partially bury the bowl by pushing down to make some room for the stuff that will go on top.

Step 4: Add the Aid

In the first picture is a homemade first aid kit for dogs. The next picture will show you a list of items inside our homemade K-9 First Aid Kit. You should consult with a veterinarian on making a first aid kit for your pet.

Step 5: Don't Forget the Goodies!

Of course, we didn't forget... Quick get the treats!

Step 6: Close It Up

You can add last minute items like medicines (such as a bottle of antibiotics, pain killers, Pepto Bismol...). After that, you can close it up! Bring a storage container or bottle of water along! Gather your pet(s) and let's get on the road again!
