Introduction: Treble Clef Ear Cuff

About: I love making art. Most of what I post will be art related, but I also make hair tutorials. I hope my instructables are helpful.
Hey, I'm Katelynn and I will be demonstrating on how to make a treble clef ear cuff. Ear cuffs are very popular right now for those who don't or can't get their cartilage pierced. There are many different designs like the heart one in the second picture.

Step 1: Supplies!

There aren't many supplies you need. All I needed was 18 gauge wire, small wire cutters, a small length of chain, and an earring (This is what will keep the chain attached to your ear lobe).

Step 2: Step One

First cut a length of wire about 8 inches or so. You want to make sure there isn't too little or you won't be able to finish the ear cuff. Then fold the wire in half.

Step 3: Step Two

Take some needle nose pliers (I just used my small wire cutters because I didn't have needle nose pliers at the time) and make a small curl at the bottom. Then make a bigger loop at the top, but don't make it too big.

Step 4: Step Three

Make a circle in the middle between the two loops you made and slide the remaining wire through the circle. This is where the ear cuff part comes to play. Now, make a small almost complete circle and bend the wire so is doubled. Cut the excess wire and bend the ear cuff part to fit to your ear. You may need to make some adjustments.

Step 5: Step Four

Now it's time for the chain. Cut a piece of chain about 2 and a half to 3 inches long. Remember the smaller curl on the bottom? Well, take a very thin piece of wire, pull it through one end of the chain and wrap it around the curl. Then for the earring part, just use any earring you want. I made my own though. You can do many different designs or put beads on the chain. I hope you have enjoyed this and if there is anything that should be fixed or clarified, let me know!
