Introduction: Trendy Note Card Gift Set
Black and white is totally trendy right now, and what's hotter than adding a little "bling" to your life? So here's a super quick (only six steps!) note card design that you can make as a gift for that really hip gal in your life - or keep for yourself and use them as thank you's for all the not-so-hip gifts you'll be getting for Christmas!
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Paper:
White cardstock (you'll need sheets at least 12" long for these cards)
Black cardstock
Stamps:
Dingbats foam stamp set by Making Memories
Ink:
Craft White from Stampin' Up!
Tools:
Paper trimmer
Stylus or other scoring tool
Adhesive:
Mounting Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives, or other paper adhesive
Other:
Peel and Stick rhinestones (can be found at any craft supply store)
Step 2: Cut Paper
Cut black cardstock to 1 5/8" x 5 1/2"
Cut white cardstock to 4 1/2" x 12"
Step 3: Score and Fold
Scoring the white cardstock before folding it will give you a very nice, crisp, professional looking crease!
Score by placing the paper under the trimmer, and then gently running your stylus along the groove.
Step 4: Stamp
Stamp design on black cardstock using white ink.
Step 5: Adhere
Adhere the stamped piece to the white cards.
Step 6: Add Bling
Add the rhinestones to the stamped image, and you're done!

Mmm... I don't have the time to order online. If I were to go to a crafts store, would I be able to find the same material?

Yes, you should be able to find all of the supplies for these cards at any crafts store with a good scrapbooking/paper crafting section. They are all very basic things - black and white cardstock, paper trimmer, etc. The foam stamp set I used is very popular for scrapbookers, so you will be able to find it at most scrapbooking supply stores. The white ink pad I used is from Stampin' Up!, which is a direct-sales type company, so you wouldn't be able to buy that exact same ink pad at a store, but you shouldn't have a problem finding a white ink pad by another company. I'm not sure where you live, but there are two large crafts store chains that carry all of these items: Michaels and JoAnn
Happy crafting!
