This is a tribal mask made up of clay. You can use any clay for make it. Paper clay is a good suggestion from my side. After making this you can use paints and other decorative elements to make it more beautiful and ideal one. Now let's move to the making instructions.

Step 1:

Roll the clay with your hands to get it a spherical shape. Don't let the clay to be very dry.

Step 2:

Now press the spherical shaped clay with your palms to get a flat clay sheet. Keeping it on a proper surface that it do not stick there.

Step 3:

Now crumple a paper to use as a base to get the mask a convex shape. And cut the clay sheet properly by keeping a symmetric face shape. And smoothen the front surface using our clay modeling tools. And keep it for some time in a proper place.

Step 4:

Make a nose shape using clay and stick it on the mask face keeping a symmetry for it. We can use clay modeling tools and water to stick it properly.

Step 5:

We can make a eye in same manner we made the nose and stick it also on the face. Use tools to get a clean finishing and smoothness for it.

Step 6:

Now it's time to be creative. Make the mask more interesting as you wish. Follow same method we use to make nose and eyes. Use different shapes to make it a unique one. You can stick a ear also if you want.
