Introduction: Turkey & Beef Tostada Bowls

I picked up a  bunch of turkey breast cutlets. I decided to marinate them then grill them. the problem was it seemed to bland...

Step 1: The First Thing Is the Marinade.

1/8 cup lemon juice or 2 lemons juiced
1/8 cup lime juice or 2 limes juiced
1/2 cup orange juice or 2 oranges juiced
    1/2 cup olive oil
    1 diced Yellow Onion
    1/4 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
    2 tablespoons diced garlic
    salt and pepper to taste

Step 2: Then Comes the Ground Beef and Turkey Mix

    1 lb ground Turkey
    1 lb ground Beef
    2 tablespoons diced garlic
    1 teaspoon Chili powder
    1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
    a pinch of Cumin
    1 teaspoon Wahoo Chili seasoning
1/4 cup water, beef bullion, or broth
    salt and pepper to taste

Mix the ground meats together and brown them in a large skillet. Drain off any excess fat add all the seasonings and liquid and simmer for a few minutes.

Step 3: Of Course Fresh Salsa Is Needed

    2 Cups Diced Tomatoes
1/4 cup diced jalapenos or green chilies
    1/4 cups diced onion
    2 tablespoons Diced Garlic
    2 teaspoons Cilantro
    1 tablespoon Lime Juice

Mix it all together and refrigerate for a few hours....

Step 4: Assemble the Bowls

My wife got me these bowls forms so I gave them a try.  Just put a flour tortilla in the bowl form and bake it for a few minuted to set its shape. It didnt work as well as I had hoped. I tried corn tortilla's and they held their shape better. I finally ended up using store bought bowls.

After grilling the cutlets  slice them into 1/2 wide strips. They are also great for Turkey Caesar Wraps. Add the Turkey strips to the bowl.

Then  add some hot Ground Beef & Turkey Mix.

And a scoop of the fresh Salsa.

Add to that some re fried beans, sour cream, and salsa Verde and that was dinner…..
