Introduction: Turnable Table Lamp
Here's an instructable to make a cosy table lamp that you can turn in three ways.
This was a school project from a year ago an I decided to make an instructable of it.
We had to make a new kind of table lamp using wood.
Step 1: What Do You Need?
What do you need?
• 2 oakwood planks; dimensions: 12mm*18mm*2400mm
• 1m Led-strip
• Thelephone linecord
• sandpaper
• wood to make plugs (see picture)
• glue for wood
• soldering iron
Step 2: Worksheets
In the pictures you can see the dimensions from the oakwood and how you connect them.
You have to make 4 squares and 5 triangles.
Dimensions for the squares:
each plank has to be 14cm long, you need 16 planks.
Dimensions for the triangles:
the short sides of the triangles have to 14cm long and the long sides 17cm.
you need 10 short sides and 5 long sides.
Dimensions for the plugs:
the plugs need to be 2cm long.
Dimensions for the Led-strips:
the Led-strips need to be 7cm long, you need 3 of them.
Step 3: Cutting the Wood
Use an electric cuttingmachine to cut the oakwood in 45° angles.
Use some sandpaper to flatten the surfaces.
Step 4: Connecting the Planks
Connect the planks with wood glue. Make sure you have 4 squares and 5 triangles.
Step 5: Making the Model
First of all, make some holes in the wood to place in the plugs.
Then connect them with wood glue like you see in the pictures.
Step 6: Soldering
Solder the thelephone cable to the Led-strips to connect them.
Then stick the 3 Led-strips to your lamp.
Step 7: Enjoy Your Lamp
You can turn your lamp in 3 stands.

To help see how this looks in 3D can you post a short video just moving the camera around the lamp. Only need to move the camera a few feet and be a few seconds long.
Add something for scale. It is hard to tell from the pictures looking down or across at it.

Am I the only one lost in how exactly these were all connected. I've looked back, compared everything, reread, but I am still lost. The key step (actually assembling it), as far as I have picked up, is drill holes for the plugs and then assemble it, ta-dah! There's no specificity in where the plugs should be placed or how and where the pieces should be connected with one another.
Other than that, I love the design and final result itself.
