A device built to open and close doors without touching them directly with your hands. The purpose of this product is to avoid contagion. The casting method is pot and mould. In this case, the mould was built with plaster to more accurately replicate the designed object.

Step 1:

The first step to build it is to mould it in plasticine according to the hand of each one and with the help of the templates. Two versions have been designed since with the first one people tended to use it incorrectly.

Step 2:

Make the plaster mixture + 1 third of water.

Important: use protection such as goggles, face masks.
heat-resistant gloves and in the case of having long hair, it should be worn up.

Step 3:

Immerse the prototype clay in the wet plaster mass.

Step 4:

Allow to dry for at least 24 hours.

Step 5:

Melt the plastic in the pot until it becomes a paste, not liquid. Fill the mold with molten HDPE and let it cool. Use the spatula or the auxiliary piece to apply pressure so that the HDPE fully adapts to the shape of the mould.

Step 6:

Correcting imperfections with the help of pliers, sander and heating the tip of a knife.
