Introduction: LED USB SKULL AIR PLANTER
Simple project
I had broke the plant off the skull after knocking it off the table and wanted to put LEDs in it.
Step 1: Parts
2 LEDs
1 Resister of calculated value
1 Old USB cable
Whatever you want your LEDs in I used a air planter skull.
Step 2: FIGURE OUT WHERE YOU WANT THE LEDS
I chose the eye sockets of the skull
Step 3: CUTTING/ DRILLING TIME
Cut a hole in the bottom with a drill or a sharp knife. Mine was hallow I'm not sure about all of them.
Drill holes for the eyes the same size as the LEDs were you want them.
Make a notch for the cord in the base of the object.
Step 4: THE LEDS
Cut the USB cord near the female end and strip the insulation off the Red and Black wires. The others are not used.
Run the LEDs in series or parallel from the USB cord.
Step 5: INSTALL LEDS
Push the LEDs in through the back of the holes you made for the eyes.
Put hot glue over the LEDs to keep them from moving.
Step 6: OPTIONAL STEP
Fill the bottom with hot glue to add weight.
Step 7: PLUG IT IN
Enjoy your new light

What's good about these is that you don't have to just use a USB cable to power the LEDs. Two red LEDs in series with a coin cell battery would work and leave you with party favors for your guests.

Cool! My friend has a black skull, I'm going to see if he wants to try this, we'll use those big LEDs if we do. Awesome job, I have a Flip Video Camera too.

I was going to use the 10mm ones but Radio Shack had only 1. I used the wide angle ones they had.
