Upcycled Chandelier

This chandelier is made completely of recycled objects. It looks beautiful in the sunlight and lit up at night.

Step 1: Finding Materials

I found an old trout catcher and discarded little bottles in my Aunts basement. I also found unwanted perspex plates that are blue and green. Glass and perspex diffuse light really well.

Step 2: Electrical Parts

I then found an old working plug, some electrical wire, a globe fitting and lastly a bulb. I connected these together and thread it through an existing hole at the top of the wire frame. The globe fitting was then attached to the wire frame wire normal wire to hold the bulb within the frame.

Step 3: Preparing the Perspex Pieces

I then smashed the perspex plates into large pieces and drilled a small hole at the top of each piece.

Step 4: Tying the Wire

The next step is to tie a piece of normal wire around the rim of 80 bottles and through the holes in the perspex pieces.

Step 5: Attaching the Materials

Start by attaching each bottle in a diagonal row towards the bottom, when you reach 15 bottles in a row, do the same thing starting at the top. Leave about 10 cm between each row until you have placed bottles around the whole frame. Lastly attach the perspex pieces at the bottom of the frame along with about 6 bottles.
