In this video instructable, I'll show you how you can play music through a DC motor.

I know, it's not practical. But it's really cool knowledge to have, should you need an idea for a science project or just wow your friends.

Here's what you'll need -

  • 3v-6v DC motor
  • A deli tub of some kind. I found that styrofoam tubs work best.
  • A stereo system (or any other amplified music player)

I thought I would save you the trouble of reading a written article by creating the video below which explains the build, the science and showcases the sound I achieved all in just two minutes.
