Introduction: Valentine's Heart Cupcakes

Sweet idea to make to u Valentine in a couple of days. These cupcakes have a hidden heart!
 
Ingredients (makes 8 cupcakes):

1 cup sugar
2/3 cup unsalted butter
2 whole eggs
2 – 1/2 cup flour
250 ml whole fat milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/4  cup chocolate frosting or nutella

Step 1: Step 1: Make the Batter

In a bowl of your electric mixer combine sugar and butter and mix on medium until they turn into soft cream. Next up, add one egg at a time mixing well after each one. Add vanilla extract, baking powder and flour altarnating it with milk and mix until you get a creamy batter. 

Step 2: Step 2: Bake the Hearts

Take off about 1/3 cup of it and add 1 tbsp of cocoa powder, mix it up then pour the batter onto a baking pan. and bake at 200 C (400 f) for about 15 min. Remove, let it cool down then using a cookie cutter, cut out small hearts

Step 3: Step 3: Assamble Your Cupcakes

Pour 1 tbsp of the plain batter into muffin cups, place the chocolate heart right in the center and cover it with an other tbsp of the plain batter. 

Step 4: Step 4: Bake and Decorate

Bake at 180 C (375 F) for about 20 min. Remove your cupcakes from the oven and let them cool down. Then spread on top of each cupcakes the chocolate frosting (or nutella)
