Introduction: Vampire Fangs Place Card Holders!
Vampire Fangs Place Card Holders!
Turn super cheap Vampire Fangs into fancy place setting name card holders...
or labels for the Halloween Food Buffet table!
Step 1: Supplies!
Get some cheap fangs from the store.
I got 12 for 97 cents.
You will also need hot glue/gun
and silver spray paint (or whatever color you want your fangs...I wanted mine to look chrome)
Step 2: Make Solid Fangs
Plastic fangs have hollow backs so you can put your own teeth into them...gross.
Fill half of the back with hot glue...let it cool.
Then put a dot of hot glue on the inside where the top and bottom bend.
Bend it and hold it where you want it to stay...about an inch gap or so.
This took a couple minutes to get to cool off enough to hold its shape.
Hold the form carefully while you fill the top half of the teeth with hot glue.
Let them cool completely...resting it on a silicone mat is easiest.
You could leave it white...ready to slip in a place card...
Step 3: Color Them!
I went with silver.
Spray painted them and let them dry.
It takes a while for them to dry completely...because it's plastic. (and I live where it's pretty humid)
So at least 24 hours up to 48 to cure.
Step 4: Totally Vampire Chic!
Perfect place settings for a Murder Mystery Dinner!
Or labels for a Halloween dinner buffet!

Could you tell me what size the cards are for the names please?

Unfortunately, it looks like the author isn't replying to questions. I've searched all around and can't find 1" table cards. However, I am using Moo.com Minicards since they let you print up to 100 different designs, I can use them as place cards! Hope this helps you!

I love them. One option for setting the shape is to use a heat gun on the 'hinge'. After it is soft, just fold to the shape you want, and they should cool in place. Then add the hot glue after. You could also use Plaster of Paris (one of my favorite materials) to fill the backs solid.
