Hi, it's TheCraftingArtist with my first ever instructable! I thought about how much I loved the Disney princess characters when I was small so I decided to make a crochet doll of the video game princess Vanellope Von Schweetz. As a 12 year old this project was very fun and I thought other young crocheters might enjoy a project to do over the summer. I hope you like the pattern!

Abbreviations/Meanings

sl st= slip stitch st= stitch sc= single crochet inc= increase (two sc in one st) dec= decrease (decreasing the number of stitches) ch= chain dc= double crochet Magic Ring= (six sc in a ring) rd= round fl= front loop

Supplies

Peach yarn

Light green yarn

Black yarn

Red yarn- mine was metallic but it does not have to be

White yarn

Dark brown yarn

Pink yarn

Buttons- optional if you want to be able to change clothing

Blush (cheeks/ nose)

Sewing needle

Embroidery thread- (dark brown, light green, black)

Scissors

4.5 mm hook

12 mm safety eyes

Black felt

Purple felt

Knowledge of stitches

Step 1: The Head

Head - Peach Color

Rd1: magic ring - 6 Rd2: inc in each st - 12 Rd3: 1 sc 1 inc around - 18 Rd4: 2 sc 1 inc - 24 Rd5-9: sc around - 24 Add Eyes Rd10: 2 sc 1 dec - 18 Rd11: 1 sc 1 dec - 12 Rd12: dec around - 6 Rd13-14: sc around - 6 Rd15: 1 sc 1 inc around - 9 Rd16: 2 sc 1inc around - 12 Rd17: 2 sc 1 inc around - 16 Tie off add the nose (weave the yarn through the stitches) Add eyelashes (embroidery thread ) and eyebrows ( I used felt) and a bit of blush to the nose and cheeks.

Ears- Peach- make 2

Rd1: magic ring (however this time only 4 sc) - 4 Tie off and sew to face.

Step 2: the Legs and Arms

Legs- Make 2 - Peach Color

Rd1: magic ring - 6 Rd2-13: sc around - 6 (sew) Join together - 12 Rd14: 1 sc 1 inc - 18. Rd15-18: sc around - 18 Rd19: 2 sc 1 dec - 14 (sew) Join to the head. DON’T STUFF

Arms- Make 2- Peach Color
Rd1: magic ring - 6 Rd2-9: sc around - 6 Tie off and join to body. DON’T STUFF

Step 3: Sweater

Sweater- Light Green

Rd1: ch 20- 20 Rd2: start with the 2nd chain from the hook & sc across-19 Rd3-7: sc across - 19. Rd8: 1 sc, ch 5 ,skip two st, and sc in the next st, 8 sc, ch 5, skip two st, and sc in the next st, 4 sc -22. Rd9: sc across - 22.Tie off, sew a button to one of the sides (on the back). Tie pink yarn to the front of the sweater to make drawstrings. Sleeves - Make 2- Light Green

Rd1: ch 9 Rd2-5: sc across - 8 Rd6: dc across - 8 Tie off and join both ends together

Pocket- Light Green
Rd1: ch 5 Rd2-3: sc across - 4 Tie off and sew the bottom of the pocket to the bottom of the sweater. Then with your crochet hook weave the top part of the pocket to the sweater with pink yarn.

Hood- Light Green
Rd1: ch 14 Rd2-8: sc across Tie off and sew the TOP row together, then sew half the hood on one side of the sweater and a button on the other side, now you can pin the button to the other half of the hood.

Step 4: Skirt

Skirt - Dark Brown

1st layer

Rd1: ch 20 Rd2-3: dc across Join both ends together and tie off.

2nd layer

Rd1: ch 30. Rd2-3: dc across

Join both ends together, then sew together both pieces with the 1st layer sticking out a bit. Sew the skirt to the inside of the sweater.

Step 5: Hair

Hair Cap - Black

Rd1: magic circle - 6 Rd2: inc in each st - 12 Rd3: 1 sc 1 inc around - 18 Rd4: 2 sc 1 inc around - 24 Rd5-8: sc around - 24 Sew to head. For the Hair I took a few strands of black yarn bent them in half and slip knotted them into the hair cap.

Twizzler Hair Piece- Red

Rd1: magic circle - 6 Rd2-16: sc around Tie off and tie around hair.

Bangs- Black- make 2

Rd1: ch 7 Rd2: sc across Tie off and sew onto either side of the head in front of the ears.

Candies

Heart- Pink Two magic rings ( 4 sc) sewn together

Gummy Bear- Purple Felt I cut out the shape of a gummy bear with purple felt.

Mint- Red and White I used a magic ring (white) and weaved a piece of red yarn from the center out.

Sew all the candies to the hair cap

Step 6: Shoes and Socks

Shoes/Socks- Black

Rd6: sl st to light green and sc around - 7 Rd7: sc around - 7 Rd8: sl st to white and sc around - 7 Rd9: sl st to red and sc around - 7 Rd10: sl st to white and sc around - 7 Rd11: sl st to light green and sc around - 7 Rd12: sc around - 7 Tie Off
