Step 2: CAD

Step 3: Source Files

Step 4: Chassis Assembly

1. Cut the following lengths of the 80/20 extrusions:

2x 18” long 1” x 1” extrusion

1x 16” long 1” x 1” extrusion

2x 8” long 1” x 2” extrusion

2. Using an F size drill bit, make the screw holes of the SK8 rod clamps larger (to the through

hole size of ¼”-20 screws)

3. Looking at the below image, assemble the 3D printed parts, cut extrusions, and rod clamps

together. Slide in the axles only for the two central rod clamps, and tighten them.

Step 5: Table Assembly

1. Put together the below assembly, putting together the axle, linear ball bearings, as well as

connectors for the table.

2. Laser cut ¼” acrylic using the file Tabletop.ai. Assemble the assembly from 1) to the laser cut

acrylic tabletop.

3. Assemble the vertical ball bearings as well as spring holders to the tabletop.

Step 6: Isolator Assembly

1. Place the tabletop on the assembled chassis, sliding the vertical ball bearings onto the

vertical axles.

2. Slide in the four axles for the negative stiffness structure.

3. Place the desired springs into the spring holders in both the vertical and horizontal portions,

depending on your desired calculations. Our suggestion for a wide range of vibration isolation is:

8x 9657K701 at the bottom

3x 9657K389 per side

2x 9657K384 per side
