Viking Horn

Intro: Viking Horn

Today we're doing an unusual engraving project - a Viking Horn on our Speedy 400 laser engraving machine! We're engraving a pattern on both sides with a strip of TroLase Lights engraved plastic material for decoration.

STEP 1: Preparing the Laser

Go ahead and switch the lens off of your Speedy 400 from your usual 2 inch lens to a 4 inch lens. The reason we want a 4 inch lens is because the wider lens allows us to engrave on a much large curved object without loosing focus of our artwork.

STEP 2: Leveling the Horn

Create a jig to help keep the horn completely leveled.

STEP 3: Engraving

Place the Horn inside of your Speedy 400. Then proceed to engrave your design into the horn.

STEP 4: Decorations

Use TroLight material for a clean professional look to your new customized viking horn.

The real question is, where did you find a horn?

I found mine on OfferUp, but also Etsy, Ebay, Google Search horns for sale, Wish, lots and lots of places.
that comment was 6 years old? But thanks :)
