In Indian culture "nariyal" or coconut is a symbol of good luck and prosperity. During the Indian wedding, the coconut is given by the bride to the groom which is said to have great importance in the wedding. . In this tutorial let me share how to make this auspicious coconut...

Step 1: WHAT YOU NEED??

Coconut

Cloth

Scissors

Thread

Needle

Glue

Various beads and pearls

Step 2: THE BEGINNING...

To begin, first remove the coconut fibers.

Keep in mind that you give a proper shape to the coconut.

the coconut fibers should be removed in such a manner that one end of the coconut is pointed.

then with the help of the sand paper smoothen the surface of the coconut.

Step 3: COVERING THE COCONUT...

Take a piece of white cloth to cover the coconut.

place it in the center of the cloth and fold one side and then the other over it.

then stitch it together.

Step 4: CONTD....

Then put the stitches on the top and pull the thread to make it tight. (as shown in the picture)

Step 5: CONTD...

At the other end, roll the cloth and stitch it.

cut the excess cloth.

Step 6: GIVING PROPER STEP..

now to get a proper shape of the coconut, put stitches as shown in the picture.

Step 7: COVERING WITH BEADS..

in order to cover the coconut with the white beads, first string the beads one by one in the thread.

then stitch one end of the thread to the cloth of the coconut. (make sure you start it from the back of the coconut.)

later with the help of the glue start sticking the string of the beads on the coconut.

cover the whole coconut with the beads.

leave a little gap at the end so that we can attach two strings of the beads to the coconut.

Step 8: MAKING THE BEAD STRING...

To make bead strings you need thread, needle, white beads and craft gems

take a double thread and sew 2 red colored craft gems in the thread.

put a knot at the end of the thread.

then sew 10 white beads.

make two such strings.

(make sure you use different needles for the strings.)

Step 9: ATTACHING THE BEAD STRING...

Now attach both the bead string to the coconut.

to attach, pass the needle through the cloth and pull the thread and then tie a knot at the end.

Step 10: DECORATING...

Now decorate the coconut with different craft gems as per your wish.

i have used red and green colored craft gems to decorate the coconut.

Step 11: FINAL LOOK...

At the end, the coconut will look something like this.
