Introduction: WY-GRN Annihilator
This is a bolt action knex gun with a magazine. I know that everyone thinks that posting this is just a repetition of what has been done before. That, however, is not the case. The magazine is made with a Push-Downer that pushes the ammo into place. The ammo, when pushed, "clicks" into place and then slides in the barrel as if a single-action gun. Thus, I deem this gun having a "click action" magazine. Most magazines are unreliable because they jam. This gun never jams. Ever. It is also a block trigger gun, so if you're not into that, suck it up. This represents a powerful weapon that can compete with the best in range, but maybe not looks. But if a bolt action, block trigger gun is unappealing to you, then I suggest avoiding making that gun. However, in all respects, this is a very solid gun. I konw this instructable isn't as "complete" as some would like, but since I am anticipating a bunch of whiners about block triggers and bolt action, I think that the pictures and descriptions are adequate.
There is a lot of hype about the Red Impact because of its near frictionless loading system. That is what this gun is all about. When the yellow rods are clicked into place by the Push-Downer, they move freely outside of the gun. This is because of the pressures of the mini-blue connectors that have to be clicked past. Quite an easier way to avoid extended friction than the Red Impact of Perfect Duck, seeing as it is more compacted.
Step 1: The Pieces
The portions of the gun that will be studied in this instructable.
Step 2: The Front
This is the front of the gun. It is not essential in the traditional sense, but is pretty much needed to make the gun aesthetically pleasing.
I know it is difficult, but try and make it from the pictures.
Step 3: The Stock
The stock of this gun is not necessary either, seeing as you'd have to be about three feet tall to utilize it. However, it stabilizes the gun if you fire it on the ground as you would a sniper.
Again, use the pictures to the best of your ability. You can use them as a reference and make the stock however you would like.
Step 4: The Handles/Bipod
Look at this, another "unnecessary" step. However, make these. they can be used as handles when on the move and a bipod when holding a position.
Not too hard to make using the pictures.
Step 5: The Magazine and Push-Downer
This is the most exciting part of the gun. The magazine is pretty standard, but works at an unprecedented efficiency. Extremely easy to make, it is the connection to the main part of the gun that makes the magic happen.
The Push-Downer will be placed on top of the loaded magazine and pushed down after every shot for this gun's "click action" which makes it so amazing.
Step 6: The Ramrod
Yup. Make it.
Step 7: The Main Gun
Now, this will be very hard for anyone to make. I realize that. Not very many pictures attribute to this. However, I have faith, and if enough people need more pictures I will post them.
1. Top View-Front
2. Top View-Back
3. Same
4. Front View
5. Bottom View
Please, use this as a reference. I want people to make this gun, but not necessarily step-by-step.
Step 8: Putting Things Together/Putting on Rubberbands/Loading/Firing
Congratulations on making it this far.
The places where things are put together are pretty self explanatory. The rubberbands aren't too hard either. Loading is pretty easy. Firing is pretty much normal.
1. Good view of the loaded gun and the famed "click action." Notice the floating yellow rod that will not occupy the firing zone until the Push-Downer is pushed down. This is because of the pressures of the mini-blue connectors that have to be clicked past. The yellow rod then freely moves. Quite an easier way to avoid extended friction than the Red Impact of Perfect Duck, seeing as it is more compacted.
2. Rubberband frontal shot.
3. Good view of rubberbands from side.
The connections are pretty easy to find.
Pictures 4 and 5 show the completed gun.
