Introduction: Warhammer 40k Bolter Round
Hello Everyone
For some time I have wanted to create my own bolter round which is associated with the space marines in the 40k universe.
With the aid of 3d printing I have modeled and printed my own bolter round.
I uploaded the .stl file to http://www.myminifactory.com/object/view/500/Bolter-Round
where anyone can download it for free, there are loads of 3d printing bureaus out there so there are plenty of options.
The model was finished with traditional hand painting and with a few warhammer 40k transfers.
Thank your for viewing my first post :)

I just used prescription pill bottles - the bottle alone is great for the case (the bottoms have an impression from molding that is perfect for the primer indent) and for the loaded cartridges I just used a ping pong ball cut in half. In total I made 30 rounds for decoration at my local game store, ten were loaded, the rest were spent cases, and in total it ran maybe $15 bucks. I had lots of spare pill bottles and paint so that's prolly why it was so cheap.

Thanks for sharing, it does look great.
Not having access to a 3d printer I kinda wonder whether this would not work as a paper model - I mean if you wanted to have a shelf full of those...
