Introduction: Washing Basketball Hoop Makes Cleaning Actually Fun!

It's a pain cleaning up your room, using the slow repetitive motion of bend down, pick up, put in washing basket, bend down, pick up, put in washing basket, on and on and on...
But the amazing Washing basket ball hoop completely mashes up the rules! Add some spice and fun to your chores with this cool creation, here's how to do it!

Step 1: Equipment and Resources

Equipment:
for this project you will need the following:

Scissors, screwdriver, masking tape, cardboard, some wood 182 cm wide by 106 cm tall preferably white, screw, thin bucket with a removable handle, felt tip pen, red marker (or red paint and a paintbrush), a rag, and a ruler.

Step 2: Preparation

Take the bucket, a ruler, and your felt tip pen. Measure four centre metres from the top of the bucket and make a horizontal mark there.

Step 3: Preparation

Take a piece of cardboard and cut a piece 5 cm wide and 7 cm high. Line the top of the square of cardboard up with the mark made earlier and draw around the edges of the cardboard.

Step 4: Cutting the Bucket

Remove the handle from the bucket. Cut out the square you made on the bucket and throw out the plastic.
Place the cardboard piece parallel to the first square two centre metres away, trace the outline, and cut the square out, repeat until you have a two by four row of squares as shown. Rub off any felt left behind on the bucket with the rag.

Step 5: More Cutting

Use the scissors to cut the bottom off the bucket.

Step 6: The Backboard

Now take your 182x106 bit of wood, and your masking tape and red marker. I used paint and a paintbrush instead of a marker it its your choice.
Make two 25 cm long strips of masking tape and one 42 cm strip and arrange them as in the picture.
Make ONLY the masking tape red.

Step 7: Join Them

Once the masking tape has dried, you can take the screw and screwdriver and join the backboard (your price of wood) and the net (the bucket) making sure the cut squares are facing forward.

Step 8: Finishing Touches

Hang the basketball hoop over your washing basket and enjoy using it! Whenever you pick something up from the ground, take a pot shot on the basketball hoop and if it goes in, it will fall in the washing basket, ready to go.
