Introduction: Water Bottle Rocket That Launches

So I had made a bottle rocket and the reason why I had did so was because it was for a grade in high school and overall it was fun. And since the bottle rocket flew the highest and it did have a pointy cone

Supplies

Poster board, scissors, duct tape, vanilla folder, 2 liter bottle (2 of them)

Step 1: Folding Into the Body

Take poster board and try to put it vertically and place the bottle were you want it to be the top and make sure it is straight before you tape it to the poster board

Step 2: Rolling

Then roll the poster board around the bottle it can be slanted little but if you want it to fly better you’d want it to be straight. Make it loose enough to were your other 2 liter bottle will slip in.

Step 3: Taping

After you have rolled the poster board around the bottle tape the other end of the board to were the line is on the poster board and can be taped to were it dosent come undone

Step 4: The Cone

Next you would need a cone head ,Take the vanilla folder and make a cone out of it and be sure you get it to were the pointy part is the top and the open part is the bottom and make sure you have the pointy part to were it doesn't fold on itself when you push on it. After you’ve done that tape were it might come undone (another person might be needed).

Step 5: Putting Cone on Body

When you’ve got the cone ready put it too were the cone is over the board and tape the cone on the board.

Step 6: Fins

Next would be the fins get a guillotine paper cutter and place two 10 inch and 6 inch in height and cut it vertically (do this 2 times)

Step 7: Putting Tape on Fins

After you have you fins tape them onto the body of the rocket near the bottom were they wont sway in the air and make it go of course, take your other 2 liter bottle and put about 50% water in it and place it were the bottom of it is connecting to the other bottle in the rocket. As well to make sure no holes are in tape to cause drift or slow down. Do fins 3 more times with other
