I created a musical instrument using water and glass. This water musical instrument is a fun way to make some beats or add some music into your life. Jam out with this simple summer idea!

Supplies you will need

  • Glass cups
  • Water
  • Metal utensils of wooden stick( To play the cups)

Step 1: Grab Some Cups

To start you will need to find some glass cups. Try to make them all the same size and shape if you can.

Step 2: Add Water

The next step is to add water into the cups. The tone and noise the cup will make depends on the water. Higher water levels make a lower deeper note while less filled cups will make a higher note. If you want you could use a tuner or piano to match a specific note.

Step 3: Jam Out

Arrange your cups into a musical scale and grab your playing too. Use a metal spoon or a drumstick or wooden stick and jam out! Play along to a song or add it to your own musical piece.
