Introduction: Water-Keeping Parsley Mini-Garden
Make an awesome pot that can be kept in your kitchen that uses only as much water as necessary and protects against over and under watering. This also helps by having no drainage holes, instead there are orbies that protect against over and under watering.
Step 1: Gather Materials
This should take less than 15 minutes to make
You need:
- Deep clear plastic containerPlastic
- Orbies or knockoff brand
- Potting Soil
- Seeds (I used Parsley)
- Water
- Plastic wrap
- Toothpick
Step 2: Add Orbies
Add Orbies into the bottom, making sure they cover the bottom in at least one layer. Add water.
Step 3: Add Soil
Add potting mix until it is at least halfway up the container and more that twice the planting depth.
Step 4: Plant Seeds
Plant seeds depth specified on package by poking holes in soil. Cover with soil.
Step 5: Water
Add as much water as specified on package.
Step 6: Add Plastic Wrap
Stretch plastic wrap over top and poke holes in it using toothpick.
Step 7: Wait
Wait for it to sprout and grow, watering as much as necessary.

Clever gardening trick. I might have to try this with a few of my starter plants next year.
