About: Hi! I am Elisse - a pharmacy student, coffee addict, food lover, amateur photographer and an avid crafter. I love art, jewelry, macrame, embroidery but also science, chemistry and drug structures! My Instructabl…

In this instructable I will be showing you how to create this magical rose quartz necklace.Rose quartz is known to attract love and friendships so it's a perfect gift for someone you care deeply about. This necklace can also be easily customized with whatever stones you like.

You are going to need:

Wire - a thicker and a thinner one

Rose quartz beads - or any crystal you like

Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

Chain

Jump rings

Round nose pliers

Flat nose pliers

A round object to wrap your wire around

A piece of paper

Step 1: Let's Get Started!

Begin by measuring and cutting some of your thick wire and wrapping it around your object of choice.

Make sure you leave a little bit of excess wire like I have shown in the pictures.

I ended up wrapping mine about 3 times before I took it out.

Cut the other end of your wire and wrap it by looping it through the base of your necklace.

With the excess wire you left in the beggining of the project make a loop with some round nose pliers.

Step 2: Continue Wrapping...

Take your necklace base and continue wrapping it with the thinner wire.

This process is definitely the most tedious one in this project however the end result is well worth it.

I also desided to turn the shape into an oval.

A heart,an oval or a good old circle - the choice is yours, you can make any shape with the wire.

Step 3: Crystalize

Some of the beads I had were too big so I took my flat nose pliers and smashed them.

This is going to create a mess,so make sure you have something underneath the beads to catch all the crystal dust.

I think by smashing the beads they looked even more beautiful, creating all kinds of new shapes.

Take your piece of paper and put your necklace base on top of it.

Then fill it with some Dimensional Magic. This stuff is just like epoxy resin - it dries completely transperent.

Place your big beads inside it,followed by the smaller shards of beads.

After you are happy with your necklace base put it away to dry.

I left mine it for at least 2-3 hours before I took the paper away and then left it to dry overnight.

I prefered to do so in order for it to have the back side of it show the crystals, too.

You are free to leave the paper on it - just cut it when you are done.

Step 4: Assemble Your Necklace

Now all you have left to do is assemble your necklace.

Take your pliers and open up the jump ring.

Put your chain and pendant in it and close it up.

And that's it - you now have a beautiful rose quartz necklace!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this Instructable! If you recreate this project feel free to share it - I would love to see it!
