Introduction: Wire Wheel Extension Cord Holder

Here is my first simple instructable.

If you are tired of untangling your long extension cords, here is a simple fast solution you can do.

I know they sell extension cord winders, but this is a freebie.

I found this welding wire wheel that was being thrown in the trash. When I saw it I knew immediately what I could use it for.

Step 1: Cut or Melt a Slot for the Cord

Here i just use my soldering iron to melt a groove into the side of the wire wheel. Make it wide enough so that the cord fits into in tight , so it can't slip out of the groove without being pull out. I put grooves on both sides of the wire wheel to hold both ends of the cord.

Step 2: Put Cord in Slot and Wrap It Up.

Put the end of the cord that's plugs into the wall facing out into the slot like the picture and wrap it up nice and neat. That's it. No more tangle extension cords.
