"At last, in a world torn apart by the hatreds and wars of men, appears a woman to whom the problems and fears of men are mere child’s play . . . she is known only as WONDER WOMAN." These quoted words are read in the All Stars Comic #8 issue in December 1941 comic as her introduction. As one would expect from a character that is more than 70 years old, the history and continuing story of Wonder Woman are truly fascinating.

I love classics and we have a new puppy whom loves to be dressed up and be pampered. For Halloween this year, I decided to make a Doggy Wonder Woman Costume and show how I made it. I've even attached a printable pattern that I drafted to help you create this costume.

My puppy is on the extra small side. The pattern I made will fit dogs with a 6 1/2"-8" neck, 10 1/2"-12" Girth, and a length of 8 1/8" +.

Fabric C (gold) - 1/4 yard

Step 2: Cut Fabric and Decor Bond Pieces From Pattern

Cut skirt pieces from blue fabric.

Cut applique, belt, and belt buckle from gold fabric.

Cut decor bond skirt, belt, applique, and belt buckle pieces.

Step 3: Iron on Decor Backing

Iron decor backing to the backside of skirt, belt, belt buckle, and applique pieces.

Step 4: Sew Skirt Pieces

Sew around side and bottom of skirt pieces to give it a more finished look.

Stack skirt pieces A, B, and C in order shown.

Sew the three pieces together at the top edge.

Step 5: Sew Applique

Sew applique pieces to front side of one of the bodice pieces using a zig zag stitch.

Step 6: Sew Bodice Pieces

Place right sides of bodice pieces together. Press hem up at bottom of both bodice pieces and sew around sides and top. Turn right side out and press.

Step 7: Sew Velcro

Sew 1" wide x 1.5" long pieces of Velcro to neck and belly tabs as shown.

Step 8: Sew Skirt to Bodice

Sandwich skirt in between the bodice layers at the center and sew closed.

Step 9: Add Belt Loop to Belt

Place loop piece 3.5" from right end of belt piece and sew. Pull forward and sew to form the loop. Cut off any excess fabric.

Step 10: Sew Belt

Sew belt directly over the top of the costume using a zig zag stitch.

Step 11: Sew Belt Buckle and Add Lasso

Sew belt buckle over the top of the belt with zig zag stitch and add gold cording to the belt loop to make the magic lasso. You have now completed your Wonder Woman dog costume. Happy Halloween!
