Introduction: Wood Tabletop Dragon Light Wall Decor

I took an unused wooden round tabletop and created a dragon light up wall picture

Supplies

Wood, Dremel tool with the round carving bits, a wood burning tool, some paint pens metallic, back splash small tiles, picture wire, staple gun, tile adhesive, fairy string lights battery powered with timer and lacquer also a printed stencil of the dragon

Step 1:

The tabletop was already cut was unused i got from a friends barn which it was also sanded too i printed out a dragon picture found on google using carbon paper cause i found it to be easier than drawing it to get it lined up correctly in the middle i traced it on the wood then i took my dremel tool and started carving the outline of it then detailed it more

Step 2:

After carving it i took my wood burning tool with a small round point tip and burned it in the carved out portions of the dragon some i decided to fill in with the burned look give it some tone once finished burning i then used metallic paint pens because the color pops out better and i colored in fully some parts of the dragon and then highlighted an shadowed it around edges also using the paint pens

Step 3:

Once i was done with adding some color i flipped it over and on the back using thick picture wire i stretched it from one end across to the other end not far from the top jist alil bit to being in the middle and using a staple gun i stapled each end to it as the way to hang it on the wall with which stretching it helped balance it after that i lacquered it twice let it dry over night them i took a strip of some back splash tiles pulled them off the mesh individually i layed them out and then layed each one along the outer edge til i was satisfied and it was covered equally I took the tile adhesive and smoothed it along the edge to stick the tileson it with let it dry over night and lastly i lined the fairy wire string lights outlining the dragon then used gorilla glue to seal them down the battery pack was towards the bottom so it could be pulled between the tiles an screwed onto the back side an not show and thats it using a fairy battery pack lightstring eith a timer works well because you can set it to timer and itwill come on and off on its own and thats my wooden tabletop dragon wall decor light up picture.
