Wood Toy Rocket

Intro: Wood Toy Rocket

This is my first attempted, didn't have all the photo along the steps, but still hope you enjoy it.

STEP 1: Lathe

I'd missed the photo for the first step, first I drilled a 4.5cm hole with this, punched in a peace of lathed wood, glued them all, and lathed them into the shape of coke bottle.

STEP 2: Cut

Cut off the two ends.

STEP 3: Grind

Grind the ends into proper shapes.

STEP 4: Add the Flaps

I used Purple Heart wood to make the flaps, cut three trench 120 degreed apart and glued them in place.

STEP 5: Finishing

Sand the surface and used varnish to paint the serface.

Wow, that's a really nice looking rocket! It kind of reminds me of the rocket that Wallace and Grommet built in their garage to fly to the moon to get some cheese! haha
