Introduction: Wooden Tag Earrings
Wooden tag earrings! Super light and airy. Easy to wear.
Step 1: Supplies
- 1 inch Wooden Tags
- Nail Polish
- Modge Podge Dimensional Magic
- Jump Rings (not pictured)
- Ear Hooks (not pictured)
- Toothpick (not pictured)
Step 2: Paint Tags
Paint your tags with your nail polish colors. I used a metallic purple and then a clear glitter overcoat. *Note: When painting on the wooden tag the color darkened. So you may need a few base coats. Or try a base color like white, or even a clear coat then top it with the color of choice. Play around with it, have fun!
Step 3: Let Your Tag Dry
Notice on the photo that I missed a few spots of glitter nail polish. Since these are small and worn as earrings you don't see the boo-boos. Plus when covered with the Mod Podge it blends in well. So the perfectionist in me had to point it out, but I refrained from fixing it. Huge accomplishment. It won't happen again. LOL
Step 4: Add Modge Podge Dimensional Magic
Add your Modge Podge Dimensional Magic and bring it to the edges with a toothpick.
Step 5: Let Dry
Step 6: Repeat on Other Side
Repeat the previous steps on the other side of your tag.
Step 7: Attach Hardware
Attach your jump rings and ear hook. Voila! Cute earrings.
(Sorry guys didn't think to show how to add the hardware...if you need help I'll post it.)
