Introduction: Wooden Work Deck

Having used cardboard to protect my desk and bench while working on instructable projects for the last few months, I thought making a small work deck from plywood was an idea overdue.
As I don't have a large selection of woodworking tools, I improvised a little by using a mitre saw to cut corners and a barstard file to smooth them.

Step 1: Corner Up

Using a piece of 8mm, by 300mm by 400mm plywood which I had on hand. I marked out some rounded corners.

Step 2: Cutting the Corners Straight

As I only have a mitre saw, I used this to cut the corners with a number of radius cuts.

Step 3: Smooth

The corners were them smoothed with a bastard file.

Step 4: Cutting Edge

Using a 40mm by 8mm board, which I had on hand, an edge was made by cutting two 220mm lengths.

Step 5: Edging

The two lengths were glued on top of each other with pva glue to make a 16mm thick board of 220mm length.
This was then glued onto the plywood to make an edge. I had been thinking of screwing it on but just the glue worked fine.
