Introduction: Skewer Gun
This Instructables will show you how to make a skewer gun with some material that you can find all around your house. It shoot skewer very far !
*WARNING THIS IS NOT A TOY, IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS!! NEVER AIM IT AT SOMEONE!!*
New Pictures and Videos! Enjoy!
Step 1: Materials
- Piece of wood about 45 to 50 cm
- Rubber band
- Black clip or binder clip
- Screw with a wing-nuts
- Pen tube or Straw
- Tape
- Skewers(Ammo)
- Multi tool or screwdriver
- Drill with a drill bit (A bit bigger than your Screw/Wing nuts)
Step 2: Drill the Holes
Drill 1 to 4 holes in the piece of wood but be sure that the screw can enter easily in the holes and that the last hole won't go farther then 30 cm from the front of the piece of wood. The holes will make that you can change the power of the gun.
Step 3: The Rubber Band Asembling
In this step, you will need to tape the rubber band in the front of the wood stick
Step 4: The Barrel
Here, you have to tape the pen tube (Or a straw) at the end of the piece of wood to make the barrel.Tape it as straight as you can. Just pay attention so you don't tape the rubber band on the piece of wood.
Step 5: The Final Assembling
First, you need to put the screw in the binder clip, then put the binder clip with the screw in a hole and fix it with the wing nuts under the wood stick. Don't screw it to tight. Look at the 3 pictures.
Step 6: Optional - Fore Grip
If you want to add a grip, its very easy, simply screw in a little piece of wood perpendicular to the long one. Screw it with your Multi- Tool or with a Screwdriver.
Step 7: Get Out and Shoot!
Here you have your new skewer gun! Now go outside and shoot a target!
Hope you liked my Instructables!

update, i can't find any wingnut here in the Philippines so is there any substitute for that?
Reply 13 years ago on Introduction
yes you can also use a normal bolt, wingnut is used here because its easier to use without tool, just by hanh

made this and moded it. ill post my pics. love this thing. Powerful and durable. My moded gun looks incredibly sleek and i have made ammo clips. I'll make an ible for the ammo clips later. thx for the idea.

I made more like an ammo holder, but your idea's better. I also moded my gun for sharpening the skewers if it gets too dull.

Nice. By ammo clip i meant moreof a holder but it holds six skewers and they stick out of the front like bayonetts. Also, I now made metal skewers out of metal coathangers and they are much moe powerful but dont travel as far.

how do you get the 'skewer' to shoot more than 50 feet, or just 40 feet. Mine only goes 30 feet.
