Introduction: Xbox 360 Music/headphone/mic Rig

About: Not much to say, I'm a simple person that enjoys experimenting with things, tinkering with electronics, and doing DIYs.

This is an instructables for those of you that want the world of xbox to listen to what you are and still allow you to comment or poke fun of that noob or even sing a long to the song your playing.

Step 1: Materials

You will need:
-Headphones(im uing overhead headphones but any sort is fine)
-Headphone splitter( if you get 2 1/8 to a 3/32 you do not need the 3/32 adapter)
-M to M audio wire(1/8 to 1/8)
-3/32 audio adapter(assuming you have a regular 1/8 to 1/8 headphone splitter like i do)
-Some sort of source of audio
---------------------------------------------------
~Optional Alternative~
If you prefer to use a microphone along with your headphones for easier use you will need (along with previous materials above):
-A 1/8 to 1/8 headphone splitter(has to be 1/8 this time)
-A microphone

Step 2: Set Up

What you basically want to do is connect your 3/32 adapter to your xbox 360 controller. Then connect your adapter(if you have the 1/8 to 3/32 splitter obviously just use the splitter). Connect your headphones to one side and connect your audio source to the other using the M to M cable. Now the fun part is your headphones not only recieve audio signals but can send them as well. Find the side that acts as a mic (its usually the left) and use that for conversations while maintaining the other side for audio.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Optional Alternative~
Proceed all above except plugging in your audio source. Plug a splitter into the other side and inser the microphone and audio source. I've set up a few pictures for the general idea of the setup to be understood.

Step 3: Finishing Steps

Turn on your xbox 360, start up your game, and blast the tunes as you pwn noobs.
