Introduction: Yarn Lamps

Hey friends - This is an easy project with very few materials, time and efforts needed to get this project done. Coming along with me and thank you for investing your time.

Supplies

1. 2 big balloons

2. Wood or regular glue

3. A pair of scissors

4. Yarns (yellow, white and blue)

5. Jute ropes

6. A plastic cup

Step 1: Inflate the Balloons

There could be numerous ways to inflate the balloons, I just inflated by my mouth. The easiest way possible. In the beginning I just two 2 big sized balloons and inflated to make sure it does not blow out.

Step 2: Add the Jute Rope and Yarn

In this step, I first poured the wood glue into the cup and add I added the jute rope into this cup and carefully pulled it out and spread it onto the balloon. It wasn't as simple as I'd thought since the glue started sticking everywhere and I found it hard to take pics with both my hands sticky and the rope running all across. Apologies if you don't see the pictures very well.

Step 3: Second Balloon & Yarn

At this point I assumed the glue was completely dry and so I quick burst the balloon with the help of a pin and was hugely disappointed when I found out the glue was still sticky and so the yarn did not stay stiff but crumbled up. It wasn't very bad but wasn't very good either.

In order to fix this, I took another pair of balloons and inflated them back into this net. Now I have green and pink balloons instead of just 2 yellow balloons. These look great as well. I will try to remove only after a few hours when the glue is completely dried up. That would be too late to submit my entry for this contest. Will share those pics later :-)
