- Devotion
- Paper Mache
- Glue, Plaster tape
- Paints
- Varnish
- Newspapers
Step 1: Basic Step
Now, let's start. First crush a good amount of newspapers to roll it into an approximate sphere. Paste this onto a surface. This would act as a mold for your mask.
Step 2: Basic Step
Convert the paper clay to a circular disc by first taking an amount of dough and tapping it gently
Step 3: Mold Making
Now, put this circular disc onto the mold and get a shape of a mask.
Step 4: Ears and Crown
With separate amount of clay, create these two designs. The first one should be made twice. Then scratch and use water to join this with your base mask. The first one is the ear and second one is crown.
Step 5: Mouth and Nose
Now, we have to make mouth and nose, using separate clays. Pierce nose holes using the back of a brush. Then roll a small piece of clay and give an extended outline to the mouth part. (VERY IMPORTANT). Mouth of the mask is made by rolling two balls of same size and join it with your existing mold at the right position.
Step 6: Final Touch
Finally pierce two holes using a pen's back on the right place so that it looks good.
Step 7: Painting and Finishing
Put an initial layer of primer to even out the color. Now, give the desired paint to give the aesthetic look.
