Introduction: Z-Bend Hyper Hornet
This is a very simple, fast, accurate, and hard hittind hornet design.
Step 1: Supplies
You will need any size paper clip and any size rubber band. (I perfer a larger one) There is one that is complete on the paper if you get confused.
Step 2: Bending
first unravle the paperclip untill there is one bend left.like in the picture, leave that bend alone and straighten the long section. (Mine is not that good so no complaints).
Step 3: Fireing
first stretch the rubber band over your thumb and index finger (either hand) and with the smaller of the two bends hook it around the half closest to your hand.
Step 4: Fireing Cont.
Look at the rubber band and you will see that it forms a triangle that is what we want. Now pull back as far as you want, aim, AND WATCH IT GO!

That's exactly what I was gonna make for my next Instructable. If you make it in this shape when using thin copper it's super accurate and it has great aerodynamics for some reason. Also can penetrate soft tissue and thick pieses of cardboard

Thin copper sheet, mind you. It'll look wavy like a waffled coin (look it up) but more rectangular.

God its been years since ive logged into this website lol. and yeas people i did forget a step, but unfortunatly i forget how to edit my posts. but all you have to do after you straighten it is to bend about an inch of the straight end to mirror the other bend hence it becomes a "Z"

MY GOD!!!! i tried one and its just scary ive never seen anything this fast, accurate, and powerful in my school. course i got confused by step 2 and made it with one bend instead of two when i fired it. i have no idea if two bends will make a difference

making a mass launcher for these things out of knex... probably suicidal to do so, but it'll be fun before i die in a swarm of flying metal.

why not just a "v" like normal hornets (double v i guess) more impact on the point and less drag through the air.. whatever

I naturally assumed that the second vertex in the metal-based organizer was utilized in better handling said projectile. *takes a puff from my bubble pipe* Lol. Big words. I guess you pull it back by the second bend?

Yeah, I agree on that too. More power = More pain :D

i love these metal hornets! my friend shot one at my teacher and missed his head by about an inch! thank god that happened cuz i had 4 of these hornets and a rubber band on my desk at that time

i agree making the 'z' shape would be accurate... yet at school in my testings firiing v vornets using a traiangular shaped paper clip or more effectively u bend nails.... using both rubber band strings not 1 creating a triangle which gives you more power... my test fired through a piece of light cardboard from 5 meters...me and my mates got a quite good aime with a usal miss on approx 1cm... this is just my oppinion but your way sounds good
