Zipper Heart Decoration

In this instructable, I will teach you how to make a heart out of the zipper from an old pair of pants.

Step 1: Gather the Materials

You will need:

an old pair of pants with a zipper

scissors or a seam ripper

hot glue gun or fabric glue

needle and thread (optional)

Step 2: Remove the Zipper

Use a seam ripper or scissors to cut the thread that's attaching the zipper to the pants.

Step 3: Form the Heart

Bring the ends of the zipper's teeth down and below the zipper. Glue or sew one end of the zipper to the other end of the zipper. This will make a heart shape. You can leave the heart like that if you want to, or you can glue the zipper to the bottom of the zipper and make a smaller heart.

Step 4: Decorate!

You can put the heart on a necklace chain or ribbon,

You can attach it to a safety pin for a brooch,

You can hang it in your car,

You can put it on a key chain,

You can glue it to a decorative jar or vase,

You can sew it on to a hat,

You can give it to somebody you love,

and much more!
