Zombie Edit

In this Instructable i will show you how to make a zombie edit.

You will need:
-GIMP/Pixlr (both are free, and as good as each other)
-Photo
-Time

Step 1: Beginning

Select the image you would like to edit and open it.

Step 2: Mouth Part 1

Select pieces of showing teeth and copy and paste. Move these pieces to side of moth to look like skin is missing. Do this for upper and lower jaw.

Step 3:

Duplicate the layer and set new layer mode to overlay. Lower brightness using brightness and contrast option.
Choose a blue/grey colour and circle fuzzy brush. Paint over all showing skin, but miss mouth, extra teeth and eyes.

Step 4:

If your picture is smiling like mines was, use Iwarp (filters/distorts/IWarp) to pull the side of the mouth down.
NB Make sure you pull down the side without extra teeth showing.

Step 5:

Narrow eyes using previous method. Merge layers (ctrl+m) and create new layer from visible.

Step 6:

Zoom in and select an eye. Raise brightness until cloudy looking, repeat on other eye.

Step 7:

Choose a burgundy/red/maroon colour. This is going to be our base for the mouth gash/ rotting effect. Paint around the area you pasted the extra teeth on, do not cover up teeth! Smudge this into the skin.

Step 8:

Choose darker colour and repeat around edge.

Step 9:

Do the same with more colours of your choice to make it look rotten.

Step 10:

Use IWarp as used previously to make the hair look messy.

Step 11:

(OPTIONAL INSTRUCTION) Add brain. Open picture of brain. copy and paste section and add to forehead. Smudge and use same effect as for mouth.

Step 12:

Add blood to clothes, skin, hair etc. where blood might splatter when they maul someone.

Step 13:

Darken picture and raise contrast. Et voila! Picture Finished, I hope you enjoyed my first ever instructable. Please give feedback :-)
