Introduction: Bullet Shell Case
I found out how to make these small containers a few months ago. When i first started making these it took me about 5 min. to make one, but after making about 10 I can now make one in about 30 seconds.
This. is my first instuctable so if you have any ideas of how I can make this and other instructables better please tell me your ideas in the comments at the bottom of the page.
Step 1: Get What You Need
- 1. old shot bullet shells DO NOT USE LOADED BULLET SHELLS
- 2. very sharp knife...a utility knife or razor blade will also work
- 3. torch... a lighter might work but i never tried it
- 4. pliers
Hint: use shells that have plastic on the inside, not cardboard.
get your stuff to together and lets get started
Step 2: Watch the Movie
set one bullet shell aside for the next step next, click on the movie file then click "Open with" you will then have to wait a minute or two for it to load. when your are done with this step it should look something like the picture above.

Step 3:
Get the bullet shell you set aside in the last step and a knife. Now with the knife cut off the little bit at the top of the shell that looks rippled. you can cut it down shorter if you want.
Step 4: Finish
put the to parts together by pushing the metal over the plastic. you are done!!!
Step 5: Make Lots More
here are some ideas of what you could use them for: match holder, needle holder. And just about any thing you can fit in it.
Thanks for looking at my instructable!!

Nice work! These looks like they'd be perfect storage for all kinds of survival type items... matches, small first aid kit, fishing supplies, etc. Very cool.
