Introduction: Chain Mail Lamp
how to create a chain mail lamp from recycled items
Step 1: Materials & Equipment
2 core - copper electrical wire
aluminium tax disk holder
12mm steel bar
pliers
drill
5mm dril bit
side cuts

Step 2: Preparing the Copper Wire
strip out the earth wire witch is just a plain pice of copper wier, and then just remove the live and neutral wiers from the grey casing.
Step 3: The Ring Jig
dill a hole in the end of the 12mm steel bar
Step 4: Macking the Rings
twist the electrical wier around the the ring jig,
then once this step has been done remove the jig
then cut up the wier into litle ringlets
then once this step has been done remove the jig

Step 5: Macking the Chain Mail
for this the chain mail is going to be a 4 in 1 patern,
oppen 1 of the rings and close 4 of the others, then put the 4 closed rings onto the open 1 and close it.
you will need a fair phew of these. you will then need to join them together with more links, and finaly get a large mesh of chain mail.

Step 6: Drilling the Aluminium Tax Disk
drill around the edge of the tax disk with as many holes as needed.
Step 7: Linking the Chain Mail and the Tax Disk
add another set of rings joining 2 of the rings on the chain mail to one of the holes on the tax disk and go around until it is done.
once this is done you will want to join the 2 ends of the chain mail to thier isent a line doen it, you link this the exact same way as you did when you wer binding the chainmail together.
