This instructable teaches you how to make a chainmail Christmas ornament
I will not be showing you how to make jump rings or the Byzantine weave shown in the step

Step 1: Tools and Supplies

     tools:
small cups
end nippers
drill (optional)
needle nose pliers

    supplies:
cheap ornament 1$
wire:
16 Gage 3 $
18 Gage 3$

Step 2: Base Rings (1st Row)

First close 15 small rings and open 1 X large ring

put the small rings in the X large ring and close it

Step 3: Rows 2 and 3

This is complicated if you are new

open 30 medium rings 15 rings per row

#1 attach 1 medium ring on 2 of the small rings from the previous step

#2   attach another medium ring on one of the 2 rings from #1 and a new small ring

#3   continue until you use all 15 rings then you have row 2 done

#4   start row 3 the same way with the other 15 medium rings

Step 4: 4th Row

add 15 large rings

just like rows 2 and 3
and your done with row 4

Step 5: Make It Awesome

at the end I had a bunch of rings so I just attached a bunch to the sides

I also made a small Byzantine weave and a hook to make it look cool
