your knowledge. so here i am giving details to make a mini guitar which is easy to make and interesting for your child.They love them.Its not only a model guitar you can play it but your fingers are not that size(i mean a child finger).You can make it from any type of wood, i made it from rose wood and some soft wood. Sound is not very good like a big guitar but playable.

Step 1: Mini Guitar

Sound is not very good like a big guitar but playable.

I made this thing two time first on my school days and this one .......!!!!! for bad English

So lets make it.

the material you will need are

rose wood of 15*1.5*1 inch(for neck)

some soft wood 8*6 inches* 3 to 5mm in two numbers(for front and back body)

soft wood 2*18 inches(for side body)

rose wood 4*4*1 inches(for bridge and neck body support

5mm *2 inch long nut-bolt three nos.(for tuner)

2mm steel sheet(cut about 2 feet and 5mm wide)will be for fret

1inch/1and half inch /3mm metal piece(make three holes so that nut-bolt fit snugly)

3mm/2inch bronze piece(for bridge and neck)

Step 2: Making

Draw a guitar body figure on the wood and cut the shape. I used sharped screw driver to cut.Put the screw driver on the line and hammer it and so on.You can cut it by any tool if you have.

Make front and back body shape.Make a hole on one of them in 2cm radius.Sand them all by 80 no. sand paper and again by 200no.Sand front and back by 200 no. sand paper and make it smooth.

Now shape the neck.

Glue wood(4*4*1)to neck wood.keep it for a night.

Cut and Remove the wood from side where you glued wood and make it round up to nut.You can use a good knife for this.

The bridge to nut measurement will be 15 inch.Mark bridge and nut on body and neck.Put the neck wood on body and measure it 15 inch.Mark a line on neck where body wood starts.This mark is for gluing body and neck.Cut 1cm deep on this mark.Cut it from other side 90 degree and remove rectangular wood.This 90d shape of neck will be glued on body.Sand them all nicely.

Cut wood 2*18 in 3cm long piece.Make it in about 30 no. Glue all this wood piece on back body on the edge.This will make side body of the guitar.See in the picture.Glue all of these(front,back,side,neck)and keep for a night.Put some weight on this to fit nicely.

Step 3: Making Fret

TO cut the fret on the neck use on line fret calculator.Put your nut and bridge length(that is 15inch) and calculate.Write down all this or take a print out.Mark all these division from nut to bridge with a ball pen.Cut on the marks slowly by a hex o blade. Fret division and position is little-bit difficult.Try to keep accurate position otherwise it will not tune properly.

Now put the steel piece(2mm*5mm*2f) on first fret and hammer it.Cut it and again put on 2nd fret hammer it and so on.repeat this process for all.

Screw the 1inch/1and half inch metal piece on back of upper neck and band it in 90degree.

Put three nuts in the hole and bolt it.

glue your bridge on the marked position of body , make three hole of 5mm diameter for putting string.

Cut a groove of 2mm deep on the bridge to fix the bronze piece.

Paint your guitar as you like,put broken guitar string 1,2,3 tune it and enjoy.
