I have this circuit from an old $20 camera (pic sucks, I was lazy so I used my scanner lol) anyway it requires a computer to capture video (it only holds pictures without one) Is there a way to capture video from it without a computer on me? I'd love to use it as a "spy" cam.....

Is there a RC plane or aircraft, (like helicopters or hovercrafts) that can carry a camera and drop a payload. This would be great for pranks or dropping weapons for allies in an airsoft war, maybe even shoot airsoft bb's, that would be awesome. If you know how to make at least the first two or know a product that can do that tell me.

I want to build one of these on the cheap.http://gizmodo.com/344069/flashlight-dvr-perfect-for-spiesI was wondering if I could mod a 4GB mini pen spy camcorder usb flash recorder in a flashlight.I would also need to extend the battery life of the camera, because the camera would run out of battery before filling up the memory.I would like it to turn on when I press the on button of the flashlight.I also wonder if I could instead add several of them instead of having to mod the power and have a toggle switch and possible indicator when power goes out.By the way I'll be using an led flashlight

Hello ... I would like to kindly ask anyone, that is good in electronics for help. I add 3 pictures of the SPY PEN and my questions are about the small camera(JH 70-B). I would like to make this camera to make VIDEO via a cable (not to write it on memory) ... but just by a (RCA) cable so I can use any recorder I would like. I have a few questions, that are bothering my mind and I can't help my self :( 1. would the camera be able to give video signal by it self or does it need some part of the PCB board ??? ... (I mean ... if I would give + and - to some of those pins ... and find one pin, that would give the video signal) 2. If I need the part of the PCB board ... could you show me, where would be the VIDEO signal ??? And where would be +/- ??? In my (totally amateur) opinion, I think, I will need a part of the PCB ... but I don't know, which of all these components are part of the "camera"to give video signal. Thanks for any advise ... zholy

Hello, i am looking for some tips on how to transform an FM mp3 transmitter to a spy bug.. i have that transmitter you plug into the lighter in your car, put an aux cable or an usb in it, and it then trasmits to a set frequency so you can tune in with your radio.. i was wondering would it be possible to just get rid of the jack, and solder a microphone instead? If not, how would I go around that?

If you've played Modern Warfare 2, you know what the Heartbeat Sensor is. It's a small screen that is attached to the side of a firearm and is connected by visible wiring to some other unknown electronic parts. Really, though, I'm looking to recreate the screen concept as a camera + viewing screen that will work in low-light environments, specifically for paintball scenarios. I can make the outer shell and make sure it won't be ruined by a stray shot, but actually connecting the mini camera to the screen and having them work at all is an issue, and even more is having it work at night or in dark areas. I have basically no experience with electronics aside from plugging part A into slot A, part B into slot B, etc. I can work with computers easily, but physical wiring and such is a total blank card for me. I'd also like to know whether it'd require a specific screen to work. I'm completely open to suggestions, as long as the net weight of everything required doesn't exceed a few pounds, as the gun itself is already starting to lean towards the weight of actual firearms.

I have a friend who is going through a rough divorce and we think it is quite likely that he has bugged her house. He has used electronic bugs in the past, his daughter is mentally and physically handicapped and he put it on her wheel chair to hear what happened during her first day of middle school. I am looking for cheap instructions on how to build a device to detect it and/or instructions on a device like you read about in espionage books that produces noise that makes anything a bug picks up unintelligible.

How about this then, to throw another wrench in the system. My last question was " Could I run a webcam directly from a HDD without a computer?" How could I or what would be a good way to set up a system to record video while driving and have user or sensor input? Basically, like before, I am trying to re-create a Drivecam device. The drivecam records 24-7 but only stores video to a flash card when the driver is involved in an accident [by a g-force sensor] or hits a panic button which is located on the bottom of the camera. I have no problem using a video camera or a flip cam but how to make it work to record in certian situations like and accident or if I see an accident in front of me, or if someone hits my car while I am not in it. Like I said, I would just buy one, but they do not sell them to the retail off the street person and it would be too expensive to make a fleet to get one camera. My company uses them and they are about $700 a piece and now the new ones upload the video via cell, which I do not want for my use. So if I can build something that is in all practicality a drive cam, but not, I am all game. I just thought a webcam would be easier, but it doesn't have to be a webcam. It looks like the easiest set up is going to be a ITX mobile computer with some sort of user and or sensor inputs. Any other ideas?

UK-built solar-powered plane has set an unofficial world endurance record for a flight by an unmanned aircraft. The Zephyr-6, as it is known, stayed aloft for more than three days, running through the night on batteries it had recharged in sunlight. The flight was a demonstration for the US military, which is looking for new types of technology to support its troops on the ground.Craft like Zephyr might make ideal platforms for reconnaissance. They could also be used to relay battlefield communications.Chris Kelleher, from UK defence and research firm QinetiQ, said Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) offer advantages over traditional aircraft and even satellites."The principal advantage is persistence - that you would be there all the time," he told BBC News. "A satellite goes over the same part of the Earth twice a day - and one of those is at night - so it's only really getting a snapshot of activity. Zephyr would be watching all day." The latest flight was conducted at the US Army's Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. The Zephyr flew non-stop for 82 hours, 37 minutes. That time beats the current official world record for unmanned flight set by the US robot plane Global Hawk - of 30 hours, 24 minutes - and even Zephyr's own previous best of 54 hours achieved last year. However, the Yuma mark remains "unofficial" because QinetiQ did not involve the FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale), the world air sports federation, which sanctions all record attempts. The US Department of Defense funded the demonstration flight under its Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) programme. The 30kg Zephyr was guided by remote control to an operating altitude in excess of 18km (60,000ft), and then flown on autopilot and via satellite communication. It tested a communications payload weighing approximately 2kg.At first sight, the propeller-driven Zephyr looks to be just another model aircraft, and it is even launched by hand. But this "pilotless" vehicle with its 18-metre wingspan incorporates world-leading technologies. Its structure uses ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre material; and the plane flies on solar power generated by amorphous silicon solar arrays no thicker than sheets of paper. These are glued over the aircraft's wings. To get through the night, the propellers are powered from lithium-sulphur batteries which are topped up during the day."A lot of effort has gone into power storage and light-weighting the systems," explained Mr Kelleher. "Lithium sulphur is more than double the energy density of the best alternative technology which is lithium polymer batteries. The engineers from the Farnborough-based company are now collaborating with the American aerospace giant Boeing on a defence project codenamed Vulture. This would see the biggest plane in history take to the sky, powered by the sun and capable of carrying a 450-kilo (1,000lb) payload.US commanders say the design must be able to maintain its position over a particular spot on the Earth's surface uninterrupted for five years. QinetiQ is the public company that used to be the British Government's military research department, before they privatised it.BBC articleQinetiQ's page on Zephyr

Hi, I would like to make a small spy cam which takes images when a button is pressed and keeps on taking the images until that button is pressed again. I need 4 cameras to be present and it should have 4 microSD slots and cards, so that these images will be stored in this. The camera will be moving when taking the pictures. So I guess it would need high shutter speed to get quality images. So what kind of camera modules it will need and what are the other things I will have to buy to make something like this? Thanks.

I like the tank, but there are a few things that I would like to improve one it. For a spy tank the motors that drive the tank make way too much noise. Does anyone have any tips on how reduce the amount of noise the motors are making? I would like to lower the height of the WiFi antenna, and boost the range the the antenna. Does anyone have any tip on the best way to do this? Here is one of the many reviews on Rover on the web. LINK Thank you again for your time, and any help you might have for me.

I have some kits to make the baby quilt featured in my instructable: https://www.instructables.com/id/Tummy-Time-Baby-Quilt/The kit is $15 and includes all the blocks and border fabric, backing fabric, cotton all-natural batting, and printed instructions -- everything but the thread, needle, and sewing machine! There are some choices for backing fabric (yellow print, aqua print, purple print, etc.). The finished quilt measures about 36x36". The fabrics shown are the fabrics you will be getting; the only differences will be the color of backing fabric (on the back side of the quilt).Shipping: Choose either flat-rate priority mail or actual parcel post to your location (probably $5-10).

I heard last week that Microsoft will be porting their popular Office suite to Linux this year. As an avid Linux user, and a firm believer in the free software movement, I must say that this has a certain odor to it. Do we honestly think that a company that has used phrases like "a cancer that infects everything it touches," to describe Linux will just start waving the olive branch and cater to the "cancer" as a valued customer? This peace offering calls to mind a certain wooden horse I think we all know. "either the Greeks are hiding, shut inside those beams, or the horse is a battle-engine, geared to breach our walls, spy on our homes, come down on our city, overwhelm us- or some other deception's lurking deep inside it. Trojans, never trust that horse. Whatever it is, I fear the Greeks, especially bearing gifts." One thing is for sure, considering how Microsoft constantly violates the privacy of their customers, rest assured that this horse WILL spy on our homes.

Hi guys.i want to submit an innovative project to the school science fair.but i think i have the idea but don't have much time to think about it cause exams are coming... So here is my idea; A robot rover that can be used for spying or can be used to explore areas where human interaction is not possible.like war fields etc.. so,most of my school mates put forward some ideas to make them manually controlled. But i want to control it in a different manner.Because judges always notice the area that can be covered by the controlling Radio frequency or IR . So i have an idea that, It should be controlled via an internet page or whatever suitable.Because it must be used wherever the internet is available. Like from one state to the other state or etc. i.e. situations like the controller and the robot is in different states or districts. also i want to add some cameras and voice recorders in it.So the photos and sounds from the rover should be automatically uploaded to a particular web host (that i want to create my self) and then the controller can download it whenever he/she wants. Guys this is my final year and my dream project..I still Hope there will be some way N.B: I PREFER ARDUINO AS THE MAIN BRAIN / MICRO-CONTROLLER Because i am familiar with that only...so TO ALL MEMBERS OF INSTRUCTABLES FAMILY....I REQUEST SOME ADVICE AND HELPS I NEED HELP FOR THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE CONTROLLING..AND THE CODES FOR IT (EXAMPLES ARE INEVITABLE PLEASE)

Motion Detector Trail Camera motion, detector, detection, surveillance, security, trail, camera, webcam, webcamera, wildlife, IR, arduino, cheap, inexpensive, spy, cam Hello everyone. I'm planning on building a motion detector triggered "trail" camera, as inexpensively as possible. I want to use a cheap IC (integrated circuit), if possible, not a $45 Arduino. I've learned that the most expensive component of this project seems like it will in all likelihood be the digital camera module (the lens and CCD, which is a pixelated digital sensor for the brightness and color of light). However, I have an old webcam from which I could salvage the camera module out of, if reasonably convenient. And this is the primary thing I think I'll need help with. Beyond that, my plan is to get a cheap IC, plug the camera module into it on a breadboard, find (hopefully find and not have to delve into learning how to program this) some programming code for the IC to capture the image data and turn into some kind of conventional image file, and then capture the digital camera files on an SD card via SD card shield plugged into the IC via the breadboard. After the initial project is finished, I'm thinking of taking it a step further by transferring the image files directly to a computer, and upload them immediately to the web but that will come later. And of course write some code to signal the camera to shoot when the motion detector detects motion. And do some research about which kind of motion detector I want and get it. But this part seems relatively pretty easy. Oh, and also get some kind of battery; probably a Li-Ion cellphone type battery with a shield or 'holder' for it. Haven't yet researched about the shield / 'holder' part for that, but seems like it should be easy. Questions: 1) What kind of programming would I need for the IC to capture the image data from camera and turn it into conventional image file? Where would I get it? ...or what? I just want pictures, not video. 2) How do I salvage the 'camera module' from a web camera for this? Or rather, perhaps I should ask, once I salvage it, how exactly do I plug it into the IC to send the image data to the IC...? 3) What is a cheap but effective IC for this? Anyways, thank you; cheers. Jack Oh, also wanted to note that I indeed have been looking through many tutorials about this stuff. I guess I'm at that point where I feel like it would be worth it to write down where I'm at and ask for further directions. Lol. Thanks again.
