ATMEGA32U4-AURCT vs ATMEGA32U4-AUR vs ATMEGA32U4-AU?

What are the differences between the -AURCT vs -AUR versions of Atmega32u4 MCU? I can't find any info on AURCT from the datasheet of atmega32u4.

atmega32u4 vs atmega328?

How am I limited (or not limited) by using ATMega32u4 instead of ATMega328 with my Arduino? I want my sketch to perform a simple "echo" of a code it receives, does ATMega32u4 allow me to do this? Here is the date sheet of atmega32u4

Atmega32u4 USB support?

I have made a breakout board for a 32u4. I have boot loaded to it using a uno as ISP and a modified Leonardo boards.txt file (I am using a 8MHz ceramic oscillator). The boot loading works and I can upload sketchs to it using the ISP. Here is the datesheet of atmega32u4 If I try to upload to the chip through a micro USB, I have to reset the chip manually and then I get the following output.      Programmer Type : butterfly      Description     : Atmel AppNote AVR109 Boot Loader Connecting to programmer: .avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not   responding avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding avrdude: butterfly_recv(): programmer is not responding Found programmer: Id = ""; type = Software Version = .p; Hardware Version = . I have tried changing the USB cable. Has anyone else had any similar problems? Also why do I manually have to reset the chip. I would of thought the chip does this with no DTR output from an FTDI. Thanks for any help

AVR ATmega32U4 Timer compare interrupt not triggering?

I tried to create a CTC timer interrupt on my ATmega32U4 leonardo board. When I continuously check the value of OCF1A I have no problem detecting when the output reaches the desired value, however once I move the code into an interrupt, the interrupt never triggers. Here is the atmega32u4 datesheet Timer setup: #include void setupTimer() {     TCCR1B |= (1 << WGM12); // CTC mode     TCCR1B |= ((0 << CS10) | (0 << CS11) | (1 << CS12)); // set up prescaler     OCR1A = 6249; // 100 ms set up output compare value for interrupt     TIMSK1 |= (1 << OCIE1A); // enable interrupt on clock compare } The loop that works: setupTimer(); for (;;) {     if (TIFR1 & (1 << OCF1A)) {         PORTC ^= (1 << PORTC7);         TIFR1 = (1 << OCF1A);     } } The interrupt that does not work: #include ISR(TIMER1_COMPA_vect) {     PORTC ^= (1 << PORTC7); } I must be missing something as from what I have seen in the tutorials the above code should work. One interesting observation here is that if I have both the loop and the interrupt in my code at once if I call sei(), the LED does not blink as if the OCF1A register was cleared prematurely. I'm pretty sure it is irrelevant in this case but the fuses are as follows: E:CB, H:D8, L:FF. I use avr-g++ to compile and the code is spread out between several files.

Where can I get a cheap AVR programmer

Hi, I'm working on a project and am wondering: Where can I get a cheap AVR programmer compatible with Atmega chips? Specifically the ATmega32U4. It does not need to have a socket for the chip, I'll be doing in circuit programming. Please help.

LilyPad Arduino USB - ATmega32U4 Board - Not detected on PC

I have a lilypad arduino usb - atmega32u4 board and when I plug in via USB on the PC (Windows 7) nothing happens. There is no sound from windows that something is connected. Nothing under Device Manager. I tried reinstalling Arduino IDE but still cannot detect the lilypad. Any suggestions what could be the problem?

How to put Flora Atmega32u4 and an accelerometer from sparkfun 2gether?

Hello everyone =) I am an undergraduated Brazilian student who just got started with the wearables fever *w*... I tought about recreating a tutorial I found in Adafruit: sparkle skirt --> https://learn.adafruit.com/assets/7396 But I bought the Flora Atmega32u4 (https://learn.adafruit.com/getting-started-with-flora/overview)  and an accelerometer from sparkfun (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9269). And as a starter, I am having some issues to understand how to connect one to the other without ruining any of them =/... If it is a noobish question I apologize ˆˆ'''... Thank you guys o/

Arduino pro micro RFID and servo

I've successfully implemented Door Unlock system described in this tutorial. At first I used Arduino Uno and RFID RC522 Reader and MG90S Micro servo. When I used Arduino Uno with Arduino Pro Micro for arduino ATmega32U4 5V/16MHz, the RFID reader stops wirking after pluging the servo. Since Arduino Pro Micro have only 5v output, I used resistors to downgrade 5v to 3v in order to poser the RFID reader. I used same output 'vcc' to select 5v for the servo and 3v converted to the reader. The problem is that each component woks perfectly independent each other, however, when I place them together they stop working.
