Meh. Okay. So apparently in 2009 I sent nudes to my boyfriend, who then spammed them to various sites after we broke up. All in all, someone from Australia who knows my current boyfriend, is threatening that hes going to post these pictures up on websites and link them to my boyfriend. Now, I don't really care because it was in 2009 and we all have bodies and its not a huge deal. Just I was 16 then and I don't think nakkie pictures of 16 yearolds should be on the internet. so, he is harassing me on skype and I was wondering if I could get his ip address. I read some posts about this and they didn't seem too conclusive. I am just curious.

How would I do this? I am trying to do a project for school but the tech teacher cant help any further. It would be a blank chip with minimal memory, how would I programme it on the computer, do I need other software?? EG for connections Please help if you can
Sometimes my browser intermittently says it can't find a site / sites. I believe my ISP is not resolving the IP address from the domain name quick enough / at all. Repeatedly hitting "reload" will get these in the end, but it's annoying (obviously) There is software that will cache IP addresses locally - any recommendations?Or have I got the wrong idea?L - frollard?

I have been running a server and have noticed that my ip to the router (192.168...) changes and the one displayed on the internet (94.1...) also changes. I have setup a static ip on the first port (0.2) and was wondering if when i connect to the internet each time the 94.1 etc that adress will change? People connect to my server via my ip adress and then my port number and I have noticed I have to keep giving it out as it changes.. So is there away to keep that ip static? or should it stay the same now? Many thanks Oscar

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to find the IP address of a Skype user. Me and a lot of my friends have been getting heaps of people just saying "Hello! Please add me to your contact list" and then if you reply they say "How can you forget me, I want to meet with you, You can view my picture here..". (and that link redirects to a p0*n site, and it is the same link every time) I want to find their IP address to see if the same individual is doing it or if it is multiple people, because this is getting out of hand and just blocking them and reporting them won't help. I'm using a program called "SocketSniff" to find the IP addresses that Skype is using, but I can't seem to find any that are a home computer... They all seem to be servers. Any help finding who is doing this and helping me to find the IP will be greatly appreciated

What I am trying to do is network all of my computers in an intranet and I don't want to have to use an ip adress to access one computer from another in my intranet on a web browser. By domain Name I mean like how Google has Google.com even though they have a different ip address. Let me clarify what i want to do. I want to be able to access any computer from another through a local intranet "web" adress like "Http://Computer1.com This is for several reasons but one main reason is that i am planning on connecting a router to my intranet to allow my ipod to access my computers but the ipod doesnt use backslashes so i couldn't enter \\192.168.1...... or \\Computer1. I would have to enter something like Http://Computer1, hence why i want to do this.

If my solar condenser ends up working I'm wanting to make it open source. I realise that this means effectively giving up all ownership of it, and that's fine, but the last thing I want is for someone else to go and patent it and stop anyone else from using it. What protections are available for this kind of thing? Patents obviously, but is there anything a little less intensive? I'll be looking into copyleft and creative commons and all that, but if someone can point in the right general direction first it'll save me some time.

There are tons of video camera surveillance projects using the raspberry pi, but I'm looking for audio only.Ideally, it could be controlled by network, Should be able to save collected recordings with time stamp to attached storage device,A bonus if multiple mics could be attached to it,I checked around and couldn't find a project that dealt with audio only and I apologize if I missed it.

I've been trying forever to get my FTP server up and running properly, to start, this is what I have:Filezilla running as a service, port 21 and also some randomly selected listening ports have been opened on modem/router, all the user accounts have been set up properly, and I can confirm that it works from LAN side of the network. I have a dynamic ip so I had to go the no-ip.com way, but it seems to work pretty good giving me a hostname.myftp.org address.I've had 4-5 people try it that I want to have access to it, and only one of them can actually get on, but he was using a different ftp client that I had never heard of, the other people were trying in mac os x or with filezilla's client software. Here is what I get:(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (126.96.36.199)> Connected, sending welcome message...(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (188.8.131.52)> 220-FileZilla Server version 0.9.27 beta(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (184.108.40.206)> 220-Punkguyta's Drop Zone(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (220.127.116.11)> 220 Please go easy, my upload isn't all that great, thx =P(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (18.104.22.168)> USER downloads(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (22.214.171.124)> 331 Password required for downloads(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - (not logged in) (126.96.36.199)> PASS *********(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - downloads (188.8.131.52)> 230 Logged on(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - downloads (184.108.40.206)> PWD(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - downloads (220.127.116.11)> 257 "/" is current directory.(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - downloads (18.104.22.168)> TYPE I(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - downloads (22.214.171.124)> 200 Type set to I(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:06 AM - downloads (126.96.36.199)> PASV(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:07 AM - downloads (188.8.131.52)> 227 Entering Passive Mode (209,240,120,189,19,146)(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:07 AM - downloads (184.108.40.206)> LIST(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:17 AM - downloads (220.127.116.11)> 425 Can't open data connection.(000037) 11/7/2008 0:20:40 AM - downloads (18.104.22.168)> disconnected. This is what I get with everyone, but my friend that could get on, it worked fine for him and the speed was great. I want to pull my hair out because I've googled over and over, and I'm following the directions, as retardedly easy as they are, and everything should just work correctly, I have filezilla setup to be a passive server and to retreive an external ip address from a url, and they have a default site that seems to also work okay. I'm just wondering if this is the problem, because I'm also running the no-ip dns software side by side? I don't think it matters though.Oh yeah, and I also have it setup for custom port ranges 5000-5100, so unless I plan on having even 80 or more users at a time, that should be a wide enough range. Also, don't use external ip for local network connections is checked. It seems so simplistic to me, and being able to access it locally fine, and seeing at least one other person get on it made me happy, but is there maybe something wrong in the configuration on their end(s)??Thank you guys if you can help me hit this dumb problem in the head.

Hi, I have a neighbor who moved in across the hall and brought drama with her in the form of more than one angry drunk boyfriend. Security and police have been called to their door on more than one occasion and they blame me. Garbage has mysteriously been left at my door and when they did not know I was listening have made some really nasty comments about me. For my own protection I would like to install a peephole camera. Since none of the ones I can find in my price range have both a dedicated screen and an ip camera would like to make one. I have found 1) IP Camera with DVR module like the one in the picture: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00STKFDDC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid;=25HQ29KSVC2OB&coliid;=I5BW4KF2XAIZR 2) a billion different lcd screen kits, some generic, some for arduino, some for raspberry pi. This would be my first arduino or raspberry pi project but I am willing to learn. But I think it may be redundant to use an arduino or raspberry pi as all I need is output, but I could be wrong I have no clue. If anyone could point me in the right direction of an existing project plan or describe how to do it I would really appreciate it. I have spent a couple nights searching but it is possible I don`t know the correct terms to find what I am looking for. Totally grateful for any help. Thanks!!!

my computer and ipod touch seem to be fighting each other ip address wise, when one connects to the internet it steals the others internet connection and after a few minutes the device loses connection altogether. I've already set both devices to have private fixed ips .68 for one and .69 for the other. another thing is that when only one is connected on the 192.168.1.254 mainpage the device says it is the other, so when my computer is connected but not my ipod it says my ipod is connected and vise versa. my main problem is they lose connectivity after a few minutes. i have also disabled the wifi protected setup(which att told me would help solve my problems). If any other info is needed please tell me, i really need this solved!!

I am trying to port forward for a minecraft server with an apple airport router, I used airport utility's port mapping page, put 25565 in both the tcp and udp boxes, my static internal ip in the ip box, double checked it was spelled right, then clicked ok and update. After I used simple port checker and it said the tcp was still closed, and the server did not work. If possible I would not like to use hamachi. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Before you ask I am completely positive I spelled everything right

So at this school I go to, we have mac books, and we'd communicate to each other using SSH and VNC during class at times. To get the IP addresses (local) of each other, we'd ping the computer name of the person we wanted, the computer name being clearly visible on each of our mac books. From time to time, IP addresses would change, but that's not really much of a problem. Thing is, for a few people, their actual IP address is different to what we'd get when we ping them, and hence we'd accidentally end up in someone else's mac book instead of the one we intended. Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on here? Or a solution? (Other than getting them to go and find their IP addresses with "ifconfig" or through terminal?) We're using OS X 10.6.4, btw Much appreciated

I have a couple of these cameras around the house for basic security and to watch our pets etc. The web user interface is garbage and horrible on a mobile device (i'm a web developer so I'm a snob about that stuff :). I'd like to "hack" it. I'm assuming it's a firmware hack. Not sure what would be involved, but it could be a fun project. However, i'm having trouble finding enough information online to get started. Anyone out there that has the resources to point me in the right direction or even lend a hand?

I know there are sites and images that show your IP Address, browser, OS, possible location, etc. Could you have some way of writing this found information into a database, or would that be too much of a security flaw? I'm not talking about tracert commands, IP locators, etc. EDIT: Sorry if i wasn't clear enough for anyone, I was meaning something like a PHP, HTML or Java code that logs the visitors IP Address (And if possible, some other miscellaneous information) on a .txt file or something similar.

Well, I have a computer running ubuntu 10.04 that I want to use as a server for a sun ray 1g thin client. If I can get it to work with your help I will get another client. I have a user set up for the thin client named test with the password as test. The thin client is hooked up to my network and has the ip 192.168.1.110 and when I turn it on the little box on the screen says the ip and that it found one server but then it fails and has a yellow message at the bottom that it cant find a server. When I open terminal server client in ubuntu on my server computer and type in the ip address, user name, and password it gets an error. What else do I need? it says domain, client hostname, and protocol file (they are all empty) Do I need to install any other software? Thin client manager gives me nothing since I cant get connected. I do have the thing that starts with like ltps or something like that installed through terminal. If I type in the ip address of the server in it will open up a window with ubuntu in it. I believe it is in a program called xpst or something like that. I dont know exactly but I found it in instructables here. it also says 27b in the bottom left corner and 100f ofer something that looks like a sideways wifi thing that ubuntu shows. ok, it looks like the image if you scroll down to 27 on this page but it says 27b instead of 27d http://wikis.sun.com/display/SRSS4dot2/SRSS+Troubleshooting+Icons I I found these websites about it but I would like something easier. http://wiki.sun-rays.org/index.php/SRSS_4.2_on_Ubuntu_9.10_(i386,_amd64) https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuOnSunRay

I have had a couple of robberies at my deceased grandfathers home, which is empty and no one is living there, and it is about 40 miles from my home. I was wondering if there might be a way to set up a camera and be able to monitor it at my home, either on my computer or my smartphone. I do still have the electricity going at his home, but I don't want to also pay for cable for an empty house(thus no internet connection). Just wondering if there is any technology available in which the camera could somehow broadcast over the cell phone network maybe? Any answers are greatly appreciated.

As you know or not Arduino Ethernet shield is made from TCPIP Hardware chip (W5100 of Wiznet Company) and other component. Recently I heard that TCPIP Hardware stack (with Hardware chip) is more stronger than S/W stack from networking attack such as flooding, spoofing and so on. But I want to know technical basis why Hardware tcpip chip is "Unattackable" from networking attack. If there is a anyone have a knowledge about networking via internet... please share your knowldege or your thinking.

Question by kalitap
Software security issues are often obvious to a second pair of eyes. I just posted the PHP scripts for my personal contact homepage as an instructable:Simple PHP personal contact homepage (web3.0!)Can you hack it? Preferably a copy on your local machine and not on my actual server... I deleted all my administration files and classes prior to making this post, just in case.I have two primary concerns:1. General PHP injection attacks. Proper handling and escaping of form data.2. The admin interface has a sessions based authentication mechanism. Login is compared to a MD5 hash of the password, then a session is created with an MD5 hash of the user's IP address. Each subsequent page load compares the authenticated session IP with the user's IP address (again, an MD5 of both). The goal is to prevent remote session stealing related flaws by tying the session to an (unknown...) IP address. Obviously if you have access to the local machine this is all moot, but there is little I can do about that. If an intruder were to get around the session authentication, they would be able to upload files just about anywhere on my server using the admin upload interface. This is a bit of a concern...I think in light of this, I'm going to add an option to limit the web admin interface to one IP address. My IP is fairly static, and if it changes, simply upload a new config file by ftp.

I just fixed a complicated internet setup but then I just bumped into something else. When I load any page, it takes a while to actually show anything (_nothing_ is shown; it's not like a slow loading page). My internet speed is "blazing" fast - it's exactly what's it's suposed to be (according to my ISP) - thanks to speedtest.net.I think it's DNS related because...... when I go to a page using it's IP address, there's no lag. E.g.: when I type "http://22.214.171.124" withouth the quotes, it's blazing fast, near instant. By the way, that IP address head's to Google.com.I tried with the above address as well as "http://126.96.36.199/" which is another google ip address.--I have the same issue with a ping command: slow when using domain name, fast using ip address. But I have no idea how to fix this...Thanks for any help..
