Hi all!
I made this some days ago, It's a kind of Celtic shaped bookshelf. The design icames from ancient celtic culture.
https://www.instructables.com/id/Celtic-Design-Bookshelf/

A friend of mine, is asking me to reproduce a similar one (different shapes), but, I'd like to have a thought about materials first.
Actually, the panel behind is a sort of "biscuit" with sheets of particle boards, and dry wall, which has an important weight.
But I would like to lower down the weight in the next version without compromise the structural strenght.
Do you have any suggestion? I thought at MDF panels, that could let me save at least 25-30kg.
But I'm asking myself if a later painting of mdf panels could keep the same result as a normal wall, or it could be a problem.
Thanks.

https://www.instructables.com/id/Mayo-Steak-The-Best-Steak-Youll-Ever-Make/
Hi everyone!
I uploaded this ible 2 days ago and always try to publish the best content I can (best lighting, clear photos, and ideas that I haven't seen done yet). I was wondering if there was anything I could change to have it be featured or maybe have the staff take a second look.

Thanks for your time,
38ren

Do a google image search for steak. Pick a nice looking picture and try to replicate it in your photos.

Your instructable looks great! Such good information there! I think if you had a different cover image it could be featured. I've always thought that cover images on food instructables are particularly difficult. Maybe remove the juices from the plate and have an image of the whole plate with a nice background. I think I may try your technique later on this week! Yum!

Thank you for all your help! I agree with you, I could've chosen a better picture for the cover (I'll have to change it and republish when I get the chance!) I hope you like it!

For being in instructables for 9 years I think I can help you a little bit.
if you type bedsheet in search engine of instructable you won’t find much, it’s not a popular topic plus there are hardly any featured projects.
If you want to work against the odds I have recommendations.
1. you need another field ( category). You see these days people are using wood to redo these rooms, they are making storage solutions, organising wardrobes, painting, etc, so simple painting on bedsheet would not help in redo or redecorating the room. What you could do is to either show how to paint for the first time, with tips tricks, and explain how to form stencil, how to incorporate your designs into daily use objects e.g bedsheets, mugs, etc.
2. Another idea is to make use of trend but it might cost you more hardwork.
there is a trend of using same design in a number of things on the room, embroidery cushion similar to ur painted bedsheet, or vase in similar shades, lamps with similar aura. I have added some examples in the pictures below for reference.
3. Picture photography, your project is not properly photographed, you need some scenario.

One more idea is to show entire room, but I’m sure ur room don’t have much lightening. Bohemian bedrooms are good choice for showing redo in crafty way, but these ideas may cause more work. My suggestion is to stick with 1st option, but if you can try other ideas too

Your instructables look great! I featured your Holographic HUD. I think if you can take a clearer cover image on your Li-Fi project that would make it more descriptive for potential readers.

I see you got your ible featured and it even won a second prize! I would that your ible is very well written and deserves the prize! Congratulations!
How did you end up getting it featured?

Hi guys!
Like many others I too have a problem with my 'ible. I usually put a looot of effort in my articles and so was it this time. I wrote a tutorial on how to craft a roll-top pannier from duct tape.
https://www.instructables.com/id/Roll-top-Pannier-...
My 29 previous articles have all been featured except for one that didn't but eventually won a runner-up prize in a contest.

But with my 30th article I am experiencing something strange. It took Instructables team 5 days to accept it into the Tape contest (okay, there was a weekend inbetween) and it didn't get featured at all. I am not talking about front page or anything- just in the category. It usually takes them less than a day to accept a new ible in a contest.

I know my article was not simple rip-off idea from Pinterest. I truly worked hard on this project and article. I think alot of people would actually benefit from knowing that stuff like this could be made from duct tape.

What do you guys think? Is my article really not that high quality to get a feature or is there some sort of error?
I would really appreciate your feedback!
Thanks!
Andu

Morning all,
Could you please give some constructive feedback on why my instructable wasn't featured.
I thought i covered all the basics to achieve this. Does the subject matter count in any way?
Insect homes are becoming very popular here and i would have thought in the USA and elsewhere in the worl as well.
Maybe general interest in this isn't what i had thought as i haven't had many hits, so guess that may be the issue.
Thanks,
Maurie

Hi!
I really like this! Great pictures and documentation! It's an interesting idea but I have never heard of this up until today. For reference I live in the US South, Agriculture and gardening are big parts of our culture and I had never seen anything like this. I don't think the lack of attention has anything to do with your steps, it's just not something I've ever heard of and I grew up on a farm.

Hey o strange one,
sorry for the short reply this morning...had to go out.
I had a look at your instructable, and i can't see a problem with your communication skills and your power rack is a great idea if you can iron out the bugs. Don't know anything about arduino but would like to learn. I've seen some pretty cool stuff that people have made on this site.
A couple of minor typo's in step 8 at the very beginning (brake) and at the end (belt) but otherwise quite good.
Good luck with your construct.

Hi all!
I'm new to Instructables(Like many people here I'm assuming) and while I wasn't featured it doesn't really bother me. Mainly, I would love to hear feedback on my instructable, I want to see how I can improve. I'm an undergraduate researcher in college, so I understand that proper communication isn't just a checklist, it is a practiced skill. Whether it's an Instructable on making a simple robot with an arduino or an instructable for a smart drone that registers faces, voice commands, and answers to the name Jarvis, it takes skill to properly communicate.
Communication has always been my weakness so i'll usually use humor to compensate(I'm an introvert with a comedic defense mechanism *Awkward silence......quick! Make them laugh!*
Thank you for any and all feedback!

Hello! I'm a bit disappointed, that my article concerning a cheap infrared thermal camera https://www.instructables.com/id/Infrared-Thermal-...
hasn't been featured. Could someone of the community management team tell me a reason for that? Thank's for your efforts, cheers stoppi

I`d like to offer a project, I have some equipment down and need a PCI board to run a laser scanner very much the same principle as users Arduino and Sarduscan. Obviously i`ve messaged them but it could be years before they are back on this site. Are there any other geniuses out there?

Hello World!

I have just recently posted my Instructables for my Haptic Flute Teacher. I followed the list for creating a feature worthy Instructable, but in the end, it was not featured. It would be great if you could tell me how I could make this post and future ones better. https://www.instructables.com/id/Haptic-Flute-Tea...
Thanks!

Your finished blanket is so cute! If you could make your list of abbreviations easier to read that would be awesome! Including images during your creation process will help others reproduce your work.

Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see what else you share.

HI! Thanks for the reply, sorry I didn't notice this till now, but I'm
on vacation. I'll see if I can find a better image of the abbreviations.
Unfortunately, when my wife made this, she didn't think to take
pictures along the way.

She did write down her steps though!
