ørst electrical conductor can anyone tell me what this is. Google no help.

I think this is a typo, or a scanning error, and this word "ørst", which only appears in the document once ( in Claims 1) , is supposed to be the word "first".

The rest of the discussion in the Claims section makes multiple references to a "first conductor" and a "second conductor".

I think you could be right, Otherwise I have never heard of it before.

Mind the rest of the patent sounds equally unlikely. i can't see Algae being effected by a magnetic field
