100% uploaded picture is no seen Answered

I found this problem during a step by step Instructables: https://www.instructables.com/id/Khandvi-a-snack-from-Gujarat/

I uploaded all pictures in one batch. When I got to step 1 of the Instructables, I found one of pictures was not in the library. I clicked on "upload" tab, it showed 100% uploaded but it didn't show up in the library or the instructables, nor the specific step.
I refreshed browser. It didn't help.
I tried "select files", "upload" a few times, it didn't help.
I logged out my account, logged in and tried the above tricks, still didn't work.

What's problem? How to fix it? How to add that picture to the step?

I've had this happen to me a few times when uploading a large batch of files at once. Sometimes the site acknowledges the upload and there's no image to be found (and sometimes it pops up again as a duplicate a day later).

To solve this upload in smaller batches (I do about 10 at a time). Then check your image library after all uploads to ensure they are all there. I also recommend uploading images through the Image Uploader and not through the editor interface.

Exactly, it seems the site acknowledges the upload and there's no image to be found.

I tried uploading the picture I need to upload through the Image Uploader, same result.

I tried uploading an irrelevant picture taken the same day with same camera, saved in the same folder through editor interface, it was successful. But not the picture I need to upload.

The picture I need to upload is not particularly large, about average. It's just the same as any other pictures uploaded successfully. I just can't imagine how odd the problem is.

Any more suggestions?

Small batches and using the image uploader are your best bet. If it's one image that isn't working then there may be an issue with the file you are uploading. I'd try opening it with an image editor and re-saving a new version somewhere else on your computer, then try uploading that new version.

Thanks. It seems saving it as a new file is all it needs to solve the problem. It was uploaded now.

It would help the bug fixers if you told them what browser and operating system you are using.
