It's used to seal the idling USB ports on your electronic devices, protecting them from dust, coffee / water spill etc. The plug part seals the USB port.

Hi Jayefuu, it depends on the environment in which the device is working. The plug can be a decoration as well, you can choose between white, black, red and purple.

Thanks for the question. I use a bag for all my electronic accessories such as USB cables, chargers etc. so I don't need to look for them here and there each time. When this plug is removed from USB port, it can be stored in the bag as an accessory.

No tethering or place to park the cover when removed? They will be easily lost just like the endcovers off your ipod cable.
