555 timer circuit question
Hi everybody! I need to make a small pcb which will be able to turn on/off a switch about 10/sec, whenever I turn it on. I understand that 555 timer is the easiest way to go.Even better it would be if it was fully customizable like I could set it to open/close the other circuit from 1 to10 times/sec per manual switch on and also set the duration that the 555 will be keeping the other circuit on each time . I am able to do the soldering needed but I don't know the parts needed and how to properly connect the the pcb. Thanks (sorry for my poor English)

Is there a simple way to make voltage change just slightly in a circuit repeatedly, I know in most circuits you don't want any fluctuations. I'm just learning about electronics.
