9V adapter instead of 12V? Answered

Hi,i have a led strip of 12V. but i dont have a adapter of 12V. so i am using a 9V adapter. does this damage the adapter or the led strip ??

No this will not damage you leds but the leds are not have full brightness

I won't do any damage, Buy your LED strip will be very dim

Your 12 volt LED trip will produce fewer photons buy will not hurt the lights.

There will also be no injury to the adapting device if it is a direct output current.

Wise electronic people test start using a lower volt input to avoidamage...

No, it won't be as bright, but it should work OK, provided your adapter can deliver enought current and not get too warm.
