formal letter help

Hello, I have some skill in php language, but my english language is far from good. I have never lived in english speaking cities, so I know, that I can't write a good letter. Most of the times my sentences feel "foreign", I think. Now I have to write letters to some tourist offices, and I don't want to be too "foreign". I would be really glad, if you could check this letter: Dear XYZ, First let me introduce myself. My name is XYZ and I work with COMPANY-NAME. I would like to pay/draw your attention to our website (by) providing you with free possibility/opportunity to introduce/present your region/the region represented by you. WEBSITE-NAME is a brand new website. The site is primarily a free travel blog where anyone can share his/her travel experiences, can show the sights located around his/her home, can prepare maps or can upload other travel related articles. We sort the articles based on travel categories and regions and our long-term goal is to establish a database where visitors can get useful information on numerous touristical possibilities all over the world. We would be glad/pleased if your region / the region represented by you appears on our website. In case you are interested in the appereance possibility on our website, you can review it via this link. After a brief registration you can introduce your region on our site. You can upload photos, share your links and attach maps, as well. I really hope that our website could arouse your interest. It would be grateful if you blog on WEBSITE-NAME. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon. Should you have any questions regarding the website, please feel free to contact us. Best regards, So this would be the letter. (?) Thanks, Sinusgamma

Square Capacitive Touch RGB LED Buttons

I'm having a hard time finding parts like these - is anyone aware of an RGB LED capacitive touch button?  Preferably with the light and the touch sensor separate (DPDT-type, perhaps?).  I'm looking to make a physical prototype of a mobile puzzle game I'm working on, and this would be an ideal input method. Thanks! -Jesse

Simple PIR circuit, need review

Hi, I'm working on a simple circuit. The idea is to have a portable device that lights up when I stand up at night. I have a PIR sensor that triggers 3 LEDS. I use a LM741 as an OpAmp The leds are type 3528. Though these LEDs are supposed to be powered with 12v, I'll use a 9v battery. My main concern is the battery life, tha'ts why I use 100k resistors in stand-by, to limit the current. R3 is used to fine-tune the threshold on the inverting voltage. PIR outputs:    3.3v when it detects motion,    ?v otherwise (but yet >0) Could anyone give me some tips or advice on how to improve my circuit? Thanks, Antonio

Job - Silence your neighbour

I want someone who can actually create the setup described here - lifehacker.com/5852903/silence-noisy-neighbors-by-transmitting-signals-through-their-own-speakers.  My neighbour is very noisy and they don't decrease it no matter what. If someone can build the setup or come with their plan to achieve the goal, I can pay whatever you demand.  My neighbour has 3 loudspeakers and 2 big-box speakers. He uses an amplifier with a CD in it. He also uses few mics sometimes for his band to sing. they sometime sing for 24 straight hours.  Please help and advice.

Knex double shot prototype

Here we have a slightly angled pin knex gun. The pin is slightly angled down, making the pin come in the magazine well angled, hitting two bullets instead of one. It uses an internal flexy bullet pusher instead of the external ones. It shoots two bullets 30 feet using two bands. It has a yellow rod magazine that isn't removable. It also uses a unique trigger system. Its comfortable, light weight and is very fun to use. No sights, its just a prototype.

confetti blower clogging

Hello everyone. I have a question which I think will be a simple one for you guys. I bought these mini confetti blowers for our church. They suck confetti, which are mainly small shiny rectangular pieces or some rose shaped paper-like material pieces, and blow them to the air. So ours came with a hose setup to suck the confetti: http://i.imgur.com/L3dzXMM.jpg I decided to modify it to suck confetti from inside a box like these ones do: http://i.imgur.com/EkE930u.jpg Here's a sketch of how it looks now with the box I made. http://i.imgur.com/Q5rPvfp.png What's happening though, the confetti pieces after few seconds form a clog where the box connects with the tube. http://i.imgur.com/pd7ZYFL.png If I push that clog with my hand, the confetti is sucked in and flows through the tubes and is blown just fine. I modified my box from the inside like so, but it didn't change anything. http://i.imgur.com/60vn7yW.png -> http://i.imgur.com/F5hzBwr.png Someone unlike me who actually understands why that is happening, can you explain why clog happens and how would you suggest me to modify my box shape to fix this? Not that the hose setup is bad, it just looks like a modified vacuum cleaner like that and not very pretty to have in ceremonies and we still need a box to put the confetti pieces and the hose in to suck the confetti so I thought I could just have the box on the machine itself and make it easier to handle.

Help building Motorcycle Gyro Cam

This is what a gyro cam on a motorcycle looks like, great hey!, but they are currently too expensive for mere mortals to buy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCOt78MB5vM&feature;=player_embedded Ive been asking for help from my local RC club and a close friend who is a plane engineer & flies RC helicopters, all say this cant be done so im coming here for help cos I know Instructables members know how to do it. My Skills - No electronics or RC experience, but I do make lots of engineering parts on my garage mill and lots of stuff from carbonfibre. My Plan - Was to buy a RC helicopter gyro, servo's, gears & linkage etc and build a platform that could rotate a small bullet cam to be level with the horizon.  But my RC club says it cant be done, so now I dont know what to try. Can anybody help suggest what bare components I need to start experimenting?

Editing of published collection bugged

My published 'Cooking' collection is bugged. The collection was posted on Feb 25, 2014. Whenever I try to ADD any instructible to the collection or when I try to EDIT it in any way I get the ERROR page https://www.instructables.com/editCollection/error/oops. At first I thought it might be some plug-in or add-on but my other published collection works just fine and deactivating all browser extensions didn't reap any rewards. My system specifications: Windows 7 32-bit, 4GB RAM (running smooth and stable for years) Firefox 34.0.5 (bug has been persistent since I had Firefox 31something or longer, regardless of Java/Flash versions)

Generator from scooter motor

This project came about because someone cut the power line going to my house. The power company was slow to fix it, so I cobbled together a way to charge auto batteries for my invertor. The generator is the motor from a discarded electric scooter ( model MY1016 from JX Motor Co., rated 24v input and 2750 rpm). I removed the motor, it’s drive chain, and sprocket wheel and attached it to the frame of a discarded bike. The pictures show the details. By cranking furiously, I can charge a 12v battery with about 3/4 amp of current. There is a small epoxy rectifier to block the battery from driving the motor. This thing was made from parts on hand and cost me only the assembly time. I don’t have any sources or price lists.

Reporting plagarism: Arduino Hydroponics

Hello, It has recently come to my attention that an instructable here was blatently plagiarized from one of my previous projects, and in fact actually won an award. The instructable in question is: https://www.instructables.com/id/Hyduino-Automated-Hydroponics-with-an-Arduino/ Proof that it ripped off my project can be found here; my original forum post here goes back to 2012, the instructable in question here was posted November 2014: http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=130344.180  My repository containing my code on github: https://github.com/BillieBricks/Billie-s-Hydroponic-Controller/blob/master/HydroponicControllerV1.1.0 The code from the instructable in question: https://www.instructables.com/files/orig/FSR/83MH/I2G1F678/FSR83MHI2G1F678.ino The code is mine, line for line, with the exception that the plagiarizing author in question removed my comment at the top with my name as the author. I tried to contact the author, but my messages went ignored and the comments on his instructable page were flagged and deleted.  The author in his instructable says "Big thanks to BillieBricks for working out a lot of the code," but in fact the entirety of the code is simply ripped straight off from my project, along with the ideas and implimentation. My desired outcome would be to either see this instructable removed, or to have the author include that the entire project be credited to me, rather than stealing credit for something they didn't do.  Thank you, Billie

Solar Panel for Water Feature Pump

I'm looking for some suggestions to run a 12v/3A bilge pump in my outdoor water feature using a solar panel.  (This particular bilge pump has a built-in float switch to shut off the pump should the water level drop too low).  Solar is my preference because it'll only run during the day. 1) What size solar panel would I need for this?   Most are described by voltage and watts of power (24V, 10W).  I currently have a 24V/10W panel I'd like to configure for this but it's specs only show it producing less than 1 amp. 2) Should I look for plans to build an DC/DC converter(?) to limit the voltage to 12v? 3) Is there a way for me to boost the amperage? Thanks for any help, links, or suggestions! Dave Nagy Florida

Adding a new category for the ESP8266

Hey Instructables, Not sure what your criteria are for adding a new category? I'm suggesting you consider a category for the ESP8266. I'm a real Arduino and Raspberry Pi fan and I can see that the ESP8266 is coming on gangbusters. I understand if you added a new category in Technology for every piece of hardware that came along the categories would loose their effectiveness, so I'll leave my suggestion in your capable hands. Homemade AWG

I am interested in building an Atmospheric Water Generator, a machine that creates water from nearby air, kind of the what happens when window air conditioning units drip water, but at a much higher scale. My goal is to create a unit capable of producing 1-2 gallons per day, for use here in southern California. I've read https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Atmospheric-Water-Generator/, a great write-up. Mostly, it requires a dehumidifier, with a stainless steel element, a water filter and tubing. I am wondering if I use a non-stainless steel dehumidifier, about 1/4 the price, and a really good water purifier, if that'll do the job. Also wondering if the dehumidifier will get mineral or other kind of deposits and need to be cleaned periodically. Anyone have any insights on this? Thanks
